But XM rarely ever fails especially on male characters so he will be awesome! I wonder if gr will dethrone mags for most wanted XM statue? Would be cool to not miss the boat on this.

So much complaining on here. My take is its the nature of the beast. Can't have it both ways. XM pricing won't stay high forever. Only certain pieces warrant the large markup bur there is many pieces still selling close to retail. If the market gets flooded with ghost riders at 3k I'm sure that price will come down quick. Flippers need to sell their goods. They are taking a gamble assuming everything XM puts out is worth the hassle and as far as I know there is only 1 Magneto and maybe Phoenix has potential. I just watched an auction end with her yesterday at 2k. The flippers are also banking that the community can afford to keep spending that kind of money and from what I have observed over the years is only a few can really maintain at that level. I have 4 pieces at close to retail and 3 more on the way. Don't feed the animals and the prices will come down.

XM doesn't fail paint apps on any of their releases thus far, male or female.

This statue has the potential to reach Magneto status with an absolutely incredible sculpt and artistic design, but let's see it painted first before crowning a new champion.

Can't say that for mags. I can't find him less than 3k anywhere 2k is high for phoenix now. I paid a bit more but now I see her going for 1700.00 shipped or so. That's a better range for her. But oh well... Thanos is another htf one without paying thought the roof. But once he comes out I think he may go for less around 1400.00 to 1500.00 shipped maybe....gr I can see once he floods maybe around 1200.00 to 1400.00 like many I see now for him.

Oh yes! The bike is the first for a PF and fully sculpted. Crazy cool! Would be so awesome for me to get one XM on time with mags, phoenix, Thanos status for a change. Really sick of paying triple for the older ones. Imagine the size and space for this beauty. The pose is so cool as well. If ss makes one it will be great also. But chances are no bike and no action pose with simpler base for sure. So this will be the king of all gr.

I would argue caution on GR, BB and even Iron Man. I think character popularity has a lot to do with it. I'm sure there is a handful of collectors who really like BB and GR as character but the intersection of fans and dollars is probably a smaller niche group imo compared to lets say Magneto and Phoenix. I think Thanos has a big fan base willing to fork over the money. I think Iron Man has potential but he has a very complicated market and has to compete with the SS version that is already done and the version they have yet to do. Iron Man fans can afford to be selective whereas Magneto, Phoenix, Thanos not so much. Here is where BB and GR come in, their fans don't have much choice either, especially BB, but are they willing to fork over the money were talking about. SS has done what, 3 ghostriders, and from what I'v seen they have a hard time moving.

Ok, that was to much, at the end of the day buy what you like, but careful if your buying thinking every XM piece is the next Magneto.

Mmmm I think you might be surprised about the Popularity of Ghost Rider. I mean it has waned from what it once was but at one time he was one of Marvel's most popular titles. For a second, or maybe even third tier character he did at one Point have two titles going at once, Ghost Rider and Spirits of Vengeance, he had his own Event, Midnight Sons, and is constantly asked about when it comes to collectibles. His films sucked, but I think if they had been done well he's popularity wouldn't be as down as it is right now.

Not to mention there is not much that's cooler than a Biker with a flaming Skull for a head.

That's how I am with the character. I've always like the design and was desperately hoping the movies would do the character justice. They got the look right and had a couple good moments but overall they were really disappointing. I've held off getting any Ghost Rider statues that have been available because they just weren't at the level of quality that I wanted. XM nailed Ghost Rider with this statue. Gotta have it.

I think it's possible with this one because it so over the top, especially if ed size is lower than usual.
