Ok so then the collective wisdom is that there is a strong base who will spend 2-3k on a Ghost Rider statue
I'm not going to say its a huge group, but yeah, I think theres GR fans hungry enough to do it. Hell, i think most XM pieces are over priced out the gate but for GR if I could have bought him for $900 shipped i'd have a hell of time saying no to this one.

When looking at Sculpt and pose...Ghost Rider and Black Bolt draw you in. they are such stand out statues. But neither one is a super mainstream characters. To a non collector like my wife...she straight out said those are the two that are the most impressive with what XM has coming out right now. She was very impressed by GR. Black Bolt should get a boost from the upcoming Inhumans movie. If I was partial to either character I would definitely have gotten them, but I choose characters based on who I liked as a kid and still like ;) . Thanos is looking to be the best Thanos ever done...his popularity is rising...with more movies coming out it will only go higher..but I was always a bigger Darkseid fan so I am waiting on his best statue (SSC' Darkseid just wasnt impressive enough). IMO XM Venom (dynamic pose, details, musculature) is also goin to be huge, SS Venom is nice but he looks a little small compared to the rest.

People are underestimating Batman. If anyone will be rivaling Magneto it will be him. Based on Popularity, Switchouts, design, base, details, Number of Headsculpts, and when the paint apps show his classic colours...its going to be unreal.

...and then dont even get me started on Boba Fett...lol

I'm just looking forward to XM doing more DC characters...mainly Superman.

Most (not all) of the comics for GR sucked (excluding Ploog's artwork and the art in the more recent stuff).

Love both movies (shame the bad guys in the 1st were so naff).

This statue, along with the 2 Ray Villafane did for Sideshow, are well worth owning. Love Ray's 2.

But as is generally accepted (at least in this thread) - "there is not much that's cooler than a Biker with a flaming Skull for a head."

So I love the character regardless of all the bad treatment he has received from some writers / artists / producers over the years.

I think all of the first Dan Ketch run until after Midnight Sons was good. Then it got weird. The Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain mini Road to Damnation was also very good. You are right though he is mishandled more than done right. Like the new Marvel Now GR is really bad.

Here's my Riders...(older photo, but man, they look so good!)

I for one am determined to get this, more so than any other XM statue out there (except maybe Venom, cos he's the main one I was after at STGCC and I'm super happy I managed to get mine there). I guess one of the main reasons was cos I queued up 2.5hrs only to be told he was sold out by the time I got to the head of the queue. Gutted then, so it really fuels my desire to get one now.

I hope you can secure one. You did all the right things and put in the effort at the Con. Hope it works out for you.

Didn't they limit sales to about 250 of the possible 999 ES? I'm surprised they didn't sell more. The demand was there.

I think XM does great work with Stand alone or Centerpieces to someones collection. If GR was my favorite then I would want the XM version, or settle for the GG one.

Yeah doesn't make sense at all. It's a show exclusive but no supplies to sell they saved the rest for the website or other shows. So really it's no exclusive at all. It's just like all the rest for sale at the same places with the same ES.
