I have nothing against flippers per se. It's just that I think it will do the industry harm like I said before. It would be great if we could all afford a crap to. Of thousand dollar statues but I think not. Just look at the number of pieces we get in Legendary or lifesize scale. Absurd prices can and will shrink the industry.

Hey, it's not all bad. That way you'd know how to differentiate smart flippers from stupid ones :lol

What I can say about this is, shipping from Singapore to anywhere in the world, is not cheap. So you get all these insane shipping prices, but really there's nothing we (I say this as someone from SG) can do about it. I disagree though, I've collected Sideshow before and I've seen the XM statues at STGCC, and there's definitely a distinct difference in quality, you can really see why even the folks from USA are clamoring to own a statue from XM. I think what's more important here is the licensing issue, I for one don't really know why this hasn't been opened to folks living in the US yet, but as I've said before, this is the only factor that drives these prices up. The demand coming from Asia is nothing compared to that in USA, and this is a globalized, international society we live in here. Flippers are really just taking advantage of that and using it to their own benefit. It might sound wrong to collectors, but this applies to anyone and anything in the business world. If there's money to be made, you grasp that opportunity and you wring it dry, then wring it some more. Sad but true.

Definitely. Many are buying multiple piece just to flip. Heck, if I could I do the same. Seem too good to pass

imo this is very close to magneto level, can't wait to see the painted one.....oh and this will be easy $3k as well.

Has anyone noticed magneto going down a bit in price lately? I mean from th 4-5k high to about a stable $3k now.

3k always seemed around the realistic sale point. 4k-5k are flippers dreams who imo just had the bar set that high to see if anyone would actually bite.

Agreed, that and it's basically brand new and people that have the money want it. At some point the fervor will die down, just a questions of when. It'll be interesting to see what this one does on the secondary market.

If I manage to snag one it'd be hard for me not to sell it for 4-5k if someone is willing to pay that, :cuckoo: :lol

It's the excitement now things will come down a bit later. With the occasional hot htf piece like mags. GR will be a good fun piece to see he's not as popular as mags or any of the x-men. Now I really hope this thing can be shipped without damage looks like the most complicated and fragile statue ever made. XM please do what you do best and make these come to us in one piece.

I'm gonna assume the PO dates will be in December then, seeing as to how everything else has been pushed backwards and that GR is the first in line without a PO date specified.

Man, I feel for anyone who's a true GR fan and can't secure this. There's no way I can ever see SSC releasing a 1/4 GR that can top this. Just look at the scope of this piece. Does anyone really think SSC will even try to include a 1/4 hell bike when they release their GR PF? I don't think so.

No way they would do that. XM hit this one out of the ball park (granted the paint app is just as nice). I wish I were more of a GR fan to spend 1k-2k on this guy because he'll be amazing to look at in person, but unfortunately I'm not. Can't wait to see everyone's pictures though!

Why not, they did a complete 1/4 horse with Dark Rider of Mordor, but we shall see.

The leather effect is amazing.. Can't really wait. Now, if they put light up effect than no question, this will be the best GR to me and could be best XM statue to date.

I am new to XM, so anyone experience with them, historically how long will they start shipping from PO date?

I agree that this is going to the one must-have piece for Ghost Rider fans. I know I've been waiting a long time to have the chance to get a statue like this of him.

Just don't see it happening. Neither of the GR MAQs or the COM had a bike. I'm expecting a museum pose GR PF if they ever get around to it. SSC just doesn't seem to go the extra mile with their Marvel license. When is the last time we saw an elaborate Marvel PF along the lines of the Dark Rider?

The Maquettes were from the movie and 1/5th scale and the Com did have a throne,, but that was also because it was based on a certain GR storyline. I think at this point, Bowen did a Bike, XM did a bike, if SSC doesn't do a Bike it's a complete fail.

I understand that the MAQs were movie based. However, the 2 GRs in the movie rode a bike and a horse. SSC decided on museum poses for both pieces. I also know the COM was based on a specific story line but it didn't have to be. It could have been a classic GR on a bike. SSC decided on the throne. When it comes time for them to release a GR PF...I believe we'll get a museum piece. Dark Rider was an $800 statue back in the day. How much do you think a GR PF on a bike is gonna cost with the way SSC is bumping up their pricing? Also, like I said earlier, when was the last time you saw a Marvel PF released that had the detail, elaborate design, or scope of the Dark Rider? I hope I'm wrong. Can you imagine a Western GR PF on a horse or a classic GR PF on a hell bike from SSC? Either of those could go down as one of SSC greatest releases EVER. It's just that I have yet to see SSC put that kind of effort or dedication into a Marvel PF. Color me skeptical until I actually see it happen.
