XM Studios Blackcat 1/4 Statue

Looks very unfinished. So I'll reserve judgement. But not that big on the concept here. The cat looks unnecessary, and it's distracting. Also has the same shape as a high-heeled shoe. It almost makes me thing that Black Cat is a Tinkerbell.

Would love to see a more creative base. I like what Tweeter Head did originally with their cat based female sculpt ...something more original for this sculpt might be a step in the right direction imo..

It's interesting how display options with limited space have changed the demand for sculptures to be viewed in the 'round'. In classical sculpture, Bernini for instance, the figures were composed to draw the eye around the statue so that every view had meaning. And the viewer was encouraged by the composition to take the statue in from every angle. Now however, with the limited space in people's homes where the statues are being displayed, they are put in to cabinets where are at best, they are viewed from 2 or 3 angles. It's kind of sad really but all things considered, I get it.

I agree. I hardly move my statues around so once they are "in place", they stay in that position.

She looks a little like Cate Blanchett. I sorta agree with everyone else. I want to see her doing something else (other than lying on a statue). Dont know, I may change my mind. I'm a sucker for BC.

I like the very seductive pose. I just don't like that she's on a cat. Why do this? Because she's a cat?

Keep the pose and put her on top of a nice chaise lounge with Spider Man's mask laying on the arm rest.
