I love it...although I still wish there was no "dd' on the belt.

I'm surprised they didn't change it, as they tend to make massive changes when people complain about it enough, and that's a really small one. But hey, maybe it's how he tells his superhero belt apart from his regular lawyer belt! That'd be an awkward day in court...

Hard to really judge it without more angles and seeing it fully painted; however, some sort of updated preview is better than no preview!

It LOOKS like it'll be pretty damn stunning when paint is applied though! I know it's not really logical for a blind guy to have all the straps and such, but I actually like their addition overall.

Well I knew that. But even with a radar sense of sight, it's not overly logical to have all the straps and whathaveyou. But then, if you're looking for logical thinking when it comes to superheroes, you're already on a losing mission most of the time!

Either way, I like their addition. Looks modernized, yet still holds true to the original. This is closer to how I wish the show had gotten it. The same material used in the show would be all good, but I'm hoping it goes all red come season two. Not make or break, obviously...besides, we only saw it for, what, part of one episode? And even then the guy said it wasn't finished. We shall see!

And hopefully we'll see more of this soon! Though with how little they've shown of Black Bolt at this point, could be a few weeks still.

There's reason to believe that this head down in the corner may actually be the unmasked portrait to come with the piece. Personally, I think it's silly to add it. I mean, unless the cost was going to be the same regardless, it's a completely unnecessary addition that I'd wager 99% of buyers won't use outside of just seeing how it looks upon receiving it.

I think the statue worked well on its own, and if they had to add anything, I think alternate arms to change the pose (one touching down on the base and the other extended forward with a club, or just both with a club sans wire) would've been better than the alternate head. Or at least give the head the red sunglasses! A grinning Matt Murdock sliding down a rooftop, weapon-ready seems rather bizarre.

Who knows, it's not like it's been officially confirmed just yet -- though rumours were that there'd be an alternate unmasked sculpt.

Seems to be a big uproar on Facebook about this sculpt, so I'd wager we'll see it changed in the coming weeks. I'd have to agree that it doesn't suit Murdock's personality at all. If they're going to go with an unmasked sculpt, then throw on his red sunglasses, make him look angry, and that's about it. Though I still think an unmasked alternate is odd for this character. If they HAVE to add one, maybe even an alternate take on him wearing a mask...a more modernized look to match the new outfit (even though the one they're using matches perfectly.)

I think that's one of the main reasons for people speaking out. Right now this would just be an extra head in the box. Part of me thinks that XM may feel the need to throw in something extra, when really the regular sculpt and single head would be just fine for anyone buying. If they had to add something, I'm surprised they didn't go with alternate hands with a different weapon, or clenched fists. Knock the price down a wee bit, and leave it as is. I think most would be happy there.

Saw this on FB earlier. That unmasked head does not remind me of Matt Murdock. A silly inclusion. Still don't like the straps holding the "hump" on his back. I really don't get the point of that.
