While ST may be the best bet, it is now far from offering a decent chance when it comes to XM preorders. Effectively all of their XM preorders are now taken by their top customers before the preorder goes up on the ST website, so no a newcomer has virtually no chance.

It will be interesting to see how the combination of great product, low ES, and very limited international distribution combine to influence the XM business model in the future.

I have keep asking my local dealer about XM product. I suspect they only have a few and left to like to those long term customers.

This reminds me of the day when I will wait in front of the computer ordering SSC products.

From my mail convo with them this week, I am sure new people still have a chance with ST. They said that they will also keep statues to the side for new customers, part for early PO and part for the shops.

I wouldn't hold out hope. I listed with them for Thor almost immediately after it popped up on their site. Nothing ever came of it. Just my experience.

They are changing their PO-system for XM-statues after Rory left, so I think PO will be a little bit different. I had to pay my Black Bolt early PO deposit within 2 days last week. This was in the terms of the paypal invoice, which was not there for my previous deposits:

"Payment due this Friday, 15th May, 10am Singapore time. Payment not received by the due date may mean your priority pre-order for this item will no longer be available and may be offered to other customers on the waitlist. For questions, please email [email protected]."

So I think they are splitting their stock a little bit up, so I guess new customers will also have a chance.

I remember this was discussed when pics of Mags in printed form were first shown. The discussion was either here at Sideshow Freaks or at Statue Forums. A few people saw Mag's flipping potential (pun intended) from the start. I had a sense of it, but at the time it felt really weird putting nearly $2000 on 2 statues. In hindsight, it wouldn't have been so bad. Oh well ...

I really hope that in the future xm finds a way to limit the folks who get five of an item. Not cool imo
