I'm serious. Is it supposed to be RDJ or just a comic look? Maybe it's been discussed in the thread, but I don't wanna scroll back looking for it.
oh duh, it's right in the thread title....IM3.......look, I know people like XM and that's fine, but that likeness is about as close as Attikus was with its human Star Wars statues. Not at all. I can't see how anyone thinks that looks like RDJ.

I like whatever looks good and it looks like RDJ to me...
XM gave us Tony Stark's Uncle Mario and SS gave us Antonio Stark

I never stated it looked 'spot on like RDJ', nobody did. I said XM gave us Tony Stark which it clearly is, especially when compared to the SS proto portrait.

Sorry, but no, XM's portrait looks like Uncle Mario to me.

Hot Toys probably comes closest to nailing his likeness around 90%+ but I've yet to see anyone to hit 100%, hell even RDJ doesn't look like RDJ on bad hair days 
The Prototype of SS is not horrible but you'll have to wait and see what the production piece looks like, if history is any indication the likeness factor usually drops a few more notches for the production pieces... I'd give XM RDJ and Pepper Potts 85%+, SS prototype around 80%+ and SS production (just a guess) will probably end up around 60%-70% <---- and I really do hope my prediction is wrong....

without sounding too controversial guys (and I've ordered both the XM and SS MK42 statues) my honest opinion is that neither portrait has a strong likeness to RDJ however, from what I've seen of both so far, the XM version looks more like an authentic Tony Stark out of the two versions BUT then again...these MK42's are based off the IM3 movie and are therefore supposed to look like RDJ 
Who cares anyway! they could've had the likeness of Miss Piggy and I still would've ordered it!!! 
P.S. We need more Iron Man collectibles!!!!!

Save the stupid emoticon, that wasn't funny. First, I haven't changed my stance. Second, I think XM makes some nice pieces so I have nothing against the company at all. It's become common here to trash SS at every turn so I wanted to see the competition and what all the fuss is about. After seeing this particular statue I don't get it. It looks nothing like RDJ. That's not trolling. It's an opinion on this stature. I don't like their Hulk either. I think their Cap looks really nice.
There's no doubt XM is getting better with each piece. This one is decent, likenesses aren't perfect..still a nice statue. I think in the end, the XM one will be better than the SSC mark 42 because of QC and paint job. XM Hulk is pretty mediocre, no argument there...XM's weakest so far IMO. But the newer preorders are just ridiculous for XM...they are rocking it! If they keep up on QC side, those will be grails no doubt.
