I don't plan on collecting XM statues due to their high prices but Magneto and Thanos are ones that I don't mind spending a little more than I usually do. These 2 statues just has presence. Only if....

As I said, this is just my opinion. I said that it bugs me on a high end collectible, I perfectly know that many/most people who collect are all for full comic inspired collectibles and it's a perfectly understandable position, that I simply don't share. To me it detracts from the sculpt, I wish it didn't but I found myself looking at the Superman and Batman PFs and it bugged me.
I'm not implying you're bashing the current suit or whatsoever, btw
If you prefer another look and want to make a custom out of it, I'm 100% with you. I plan on having most of my pieces customised and improved one way or another too, and I really don't care if they're just "normal" statues for common mortals that you can find anywhere or uber-giga-mega Grails.
Perfection exists only in the eyes of the one who's watching and nothing is sacred in this hobby, imho. I surely don't let other people's opinion stop me or bug me and I approve you're going your own path with this piece, it's the right thing to do.

I'm looking forward to seeing your custom piece when it's done. Don't forget, his neck should be purple too. Are you going to keep it simple with just a repaint? Because if you are looking for comic accuracy, you'll need to rework quite a bit of his costume before it can be repainted. Very curious to see what you come up with.

yea ur totally correct it needs the purple in the neck; I actually had just asked someone to adjust their photoshop pic so I could see how it looks…realistically, Il just do repaint with subtle small mods…as you said to get it truly comic accurate would be a royal pain…I believe I'd be content with just the right colors in the right spots, like i said maybe some subtle modding to the front of the suit (chest area) but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it..for sure will make the neck and trunks purple though

Mags and Thanos were the only 2 XM pieces I ended up securing (with the help of a good friend). I'm a HUGE X-MEN fan but it looks like I'm going to have to pass on that line. Funds are just too tight to pick up the 5 X-MEN characters I want. Having to pass on Phoenix was particularly gut wrenching but that's how it goes. Mags will be my very 1st XM piece and I'm anxiously waiting to add him to my collection. The preview pics look all kinds of AWESOME.
