It's one thing to change something before it went up for pre order, but after that it's shady to all of XM buyers who liked the version as it was. Sideshow was always critized for the such bait and switch. Now XM does the same without any word that we get the helmeted head we ordered too. Make it additional, so Bmutha can have his will for gods sake.

Bait and switch usually means bad thing, they are trying to make it better not to cut corner to scam you...
Not even comparable. Sideshow's bait and switch is to tease an amazing prototype and ship you a product that looks far from it with cheaper paint apps and overall quality.
What XM is doing here is trying to improve the piece as per some customer feedback. It's not like they're going to ship you a Magneto with red stickers for his his cape and a plastic Cerebro helmet like SSC would.

It was a good move. It squashed any chance of a googly eye issue.
It always depends on your taste. For me the pic of the new head is awful and Bmutha saying it looks so good, i have seen it, etc and stating they will paint a black line and here is th gap and everything is ok with the molten head, not assuring at all.
For me it's excactly that, teasing with a perfect helmeted head and giving a head thats looks far from a head wearing a separate helmet.

They wouldn't change it if they didn't see it as a problem. On top of that, like Wolf Brother pointed out, it's the original head!
It's not a bait and switch, they are making it better...are you pissed they're changing the cape and the leg, too? I didn't see a problem with those, but I'm not whining about it. Whatever changes they make will be for the best, so stop acting like you're all of a sudden getting an inferior product.
I respect that opinion, as the change may not be for everyone. I'm going to wait to see it completed before judging it, and if it sucks I'll be mailing a brown paper bag of poop to bmutha

If it sucks, which it already doesn't, they can switch it back. It's not like the old, unfitted helmet is lost forever

I have confidence XM won't screw it up, though I keep thinking 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

I have never stated I have seen it, I don't live in Singapore. I have only seen a photo of this new head side by side with the old one...new one looks better, no question. The old one had the helmet "floating" on the top of his head. I have no idea how they are going to paint it...I was just saying it wouldn't be that hard to create the look of separation...a heck of a lot easier than trying to make the old helmet fit properly on his head.

Seems we agree to disagree. I liked the old one, it's fit was perfectly fine. I don't like the new one. But XM has advertised the old one, i have ordered the old one and i'm more than sad that the head i liked best get's axed. I mean, the statue is sold out with the old head, even when half of the buyers had a problem with the head, which i don't see, what's with the other half?
I don't like the other changes too, but i can overlook them but not the head. That's too much. I hope XM gives the old head too, that would be a fair solution.

To be honest this is why it really is not wise to change anything after an item has been ordered. There will always be a contingent of buyers that will feel that it is unfair to change what they have ordered.
I have not read anywhere that the old head is axed or if the new head is a replacement or an addition. Let's give XM a chance to clarify things before we over speculate. What I have read from XM is that the collector comes first and money second. That's a direct quote from Bryan. I believe in the end we will end up with both as there will be a ****storm of post from the buyers that don't like the new head and put our friend Bmutha in jeopardy.

I wish I had enough pull with XM to get them to do exactly what I want.XM even says on Facebook that this is the original head...they didn't change anything.
They also have not said that the old one was scrapped...who knows, maybe both?
