No doubt.

I was wondering where you were for the last 10 pages.:wave

I was getting some work done...lol. The thing is people, myself included, didn't KNOW how much XM was dedicated to getting things RIGHT. The fact is we haven't seen this level of commitment before. Being honest I have agreed with BMutha about the helmeted head. I just didn't need to post anything because A) he had it covered and B) I was SURE XM would tweak it. I know guys are afraid that any change will be a step down for the two piece helmet, BUT I am sure that XM won't allow that to happen. It isn't in their code..... If they are making the change it is either because they never intended to go with the two part helmet, and nly did so for ease of painting or they simple listened.

This one's for you, B :) Gotta save your ass a little!

Hm as long as i get the right (painted) version i'm happy. Left looks awful in my opinion. Looks like a head in a tin can.

Yeah the painted one definitely has some of the molding at contact points whittled away.

So then does that mean each piece will be cast and then hand whittled before being painted? I know XM is intense with the detail but that would be pretty insane of them to try and pull off consistently over 800 pieces.

Whatever they intend to do, the painted one does look pretty damn good, though I need to see it side by side with the old portrait (and from the same angle) to really decide because right now, I still think I like the last one better.

the painted one is the last one imho cause it's higher and way more separate above the eyes and by the mouth.

I'm sure they will keep the qc up there since they haven't release that many statues.

The one on the left is the original head that they had all along...go back to page one of the thread and look.

The one on the right is the two piece helmet that is shown in the proto photos.

The top half of the helmet looks much better on the left. It is more consistent with how the helmet is portrayed in comics and in the movies. I am sorry, but Magneto does not have large padding between the helmet and his head...I haven't seen his helmet shown that way once.

Once it is painted up, everyone will forget what they were whining about.

It doesn't matter if the unpainted one is the original from page one. It was the painted one that we saw most of. Frankly I think we all forgot about the unpainted one.

The side by side pic proves that the people that were saying pushing down the helmet is a minute difference were right. Even at close-up the difference is minute ...so at a distance it'll be negligible. Regarding helmet dimensions, other than the height, both helmet look the same.

The side by side pic also proves that the painted one looks more realistic ...as the helmet is not grafted to his face. And it doesn't flare out on the sides on the top portion as suspected by one.

I don't think we'll forget ...more like we'll live with what XM will decide on. And now you say people are whining when you whined for 3 pages just a few days ago.

Another thing ...I've always assumed Magneto's helmet was padded in some way. It may not be thick padding like a motorcycle helmet, but padded nonetheless. Otherwise anytime Mags would move his helmet would bang against his head. Even worst when his fighting superheroes.

Haven't we all, as kids, put on a helmet that wasn't padded? We learned quick that wasn't comfortable. The padded helmets always felt better.

I have never once assumed Magneto's helmet was padded. Why would Magneto need padding in a metal helmet? I have never assumed any super hero helmet was padded, either in comics or movies. Thor, Loki, Cap, Magneto...all of those movie helmets look to be snug fitting to their heads. If there is padding, it is very thin.

My point about it being the original helmet was that they didn't change it, it's how they (being XM) originally wanted it to look and their comments on the Facebook post where they revealed this helmet again reflect that. It's ultimately XM who feel that the unpainted, original helmet gives the look they are trying to achieve...it's got nothing to do with what I say, believe me...I wish I had that kind of pull with XM, because I'd have a Daredevil statue from them already.

At the end of the day, has XM let the collectors down yet? I haven't seen it. Every tweak they have made to date, on any statue, has been for the better in my opinion. The Magneto helmet will look great.

It will look great to you, but not to those wanting the two piece helmet. You whined about the look of the helmet the whole time, so why should this new helmet which appeals to you, appeal to those who liked the design you seemed to hate?

And XM hasn't said a word if we will get both heads, so i'm thinking until they say otherwise that we will only get the new helmet and as i said imho it looks awful.

Only solution is if XM gives the two piece head too, since the molten tin can head can never look like the two piece head else it wouldn't have to be changed at all.

I will measure XM Studios on how they will handle this situation. The moment they offically state that we will get the two piece head too, i'm happy and silent.

But probably we have to ask Bmutha if he can live with XM making the two piece head too. Maybe XM have to ask him first, hence the lack of a offical statement.
