It will look great to you, but not to those wanting the two piece helmet. You whined about the look of the helmet the whole time, so why should this new helmet which appeals to you, appeal to those who liked the design you seemed to hate?

And XM hasn't said a word if we will get both heads, so i'm thinking until they say otherwise that we will only get the new helmet and as i said imho it looks awful.

Already I can tell you that is not true. I for one don't care which of the helmets they wind up going with. This is like saying which pizza do you like....the one with 10 Pepperonis on it or the one with 9. Who the hell cares? Its pizza w/ pepperoni. That's all the hell I need.

Let alone, this was the original proto mock up head that I heard no one complaining about then. You have every right to express your opinion. I do believe Erick Sosa even stated they want the feedback...and if Bmutha can cockadoddledoo about the helmet for a month...then you are certainly entitled to do the same. And no one can take that away from you bro.

Here is simple solution...if you do not like the helmet...don't buy the statue. If "helmetgate" is that big an issue to you as a collector...don't buy it. Speak with your wallet, and go find a piece that gives you less heartburn.

But for the love of god...let's stop beating a dead horse. We can all find imperfections or items we do not like on every piece. IMHO...if the imperfections or issues prevent you from enjoying the statue, then don't buy it, and move on.

I'm sorry, I just don't want this to thread degenerate, like the majority of SS threads, to the point where the discussion is dominated by what is wrong with a piece. I want to enjoy the excitement and build up of a potential XM masterpiece. Plus things at work are slow today...so reading the forums is what is going to get me through the day!

Only solution is if XM gives the two piece head too, since the molten tin can head can never look like the two piece head else it wouldn't have to be changed at all.

I will measure XM Studios on how they will handle this situation. The moment they offically state that we will get the two piece head too, i'm happy and silent.

But probably we have to ask Bmutha if he can live with XM making the two piece head too. Maybe XM have to ask him first, hence the lack of a offical statement.

I understand where your coming from man but your being somewhat unreasonable to B right now. You keep giving him the blunt of the blame for the changes made. He lobbied for the changes but XM didn't take his personal statements and make the change as a result. I hope they do both as well. Would be a very nice gesture to everyone. It is hard to put something up for PO, accept a deposit, and then make changes afterwards. I know XM is only doing it to try and better the statue. I'm sure they will learn from this. You should chilax on B though man. It's not his doing

I won't lie that was annoying. And I am already not enjoying this new angle. A R E S, I like the 2 pieces feel too, but just let it get painted up first and see what it looks like, for all we know they are showing you how tall the helm is going to be, but still having it 2 piece. They can't print in Singapore, so they really can't show you a 2 pieces print out.

I knew this was coming and ARES won't be the only one posting their displeasure no matter what the final new head looks like if XM goes that way. I have seen this before. I have no issue either way but there will always be a contingent of PO'ers that will not like this move and the only way to appease and squash the entire issue will be to offer both.

I really not understand whats wrong with the helmet n why ur pointing out....... if company is doing changes & listen to customer then we want change as per everyone's perspective which is not good.......

It's his opinion and he's entitled to it. I'm not really sure why you and others feel the need to keep calling him out for his fricking opinion. He's allowed to have one.

I find it weird to say "this is the one that XM originally wanted" because it was XM who then decided to change it to the two-piece helmet. So they wanted it this way, then decided it was better off as a two piece helmet. I am just wondering where and why the change of heart took place.

I will say I like the facial expression better on the Proto slightly but I prefer the helmet fit of the painted one.

As for padding... A helmet serves no purpose without padding. You just get a concussion anytime you get hit in the head. And like I've said before if we are using our powers of comic book logic then it stands to reason that since magneto controls metal and magnetos helmet is made of a metal that magneto would constantly have his helmet covering ever so slightly above his head so as to not be knocking against it.
