Rewards points are EARNED from purchases, not given because you're cool or have a certain color hat. They should be redeemable for ANY product you order.
BS to think that you can only use your cost driven points on what SS wants to sell you.
Ummmm... No. Reward points are GIVEN by Sideshow, they aren't EARNED. They aren't some silly entitlement. There's no law that requires them to give them to us at all. The fact that we do get them, and that we can use them (I've already used about $200 worth on different orders) is one of the things that sets Sideshow apart from many other companies. Maybe you would rather have them charge a $50 annual "membership" fee, just so you could be entered into lotteries for a slim chance to buy their products?

Not everything. But they do a lot to benefit themselves, to be sure. And you know what? That is A GOOD THING. That is how businesses stay in business. If they did nothing to benefit themselves, their doors would be closed in a year or less. Would you prefer that alternative?

Wow, nearly 2 hours out and the Non-Attendee is still up for grabs... I have to say I'm pretty surprised by this.

I wonder if many are banking on low secondary market prices (like Sithakin) or possibly waiting for a Farmboy version?

Re: Yavin Luke Headsculpt

I'm happy with it. I think it looks more like Mark than the ROTJ offering.

Well, with an ES of 6,000, it's going to take a while.

I just called SS to see if I could use my rewards points on the preorder. They stated no points can be used for discount exclusives, and that the "apply your rewards points" link on the preorder page is a default link that won't actually be honored when they charge your card. Oh well. I ordered one anyway.

Weird. I used mine thinking I had more points than I did. They said I can use them but they won't give me any points for the Luke purchase over the phone....

Well, I caved and decided that the medal, unique jacket, and CIV display base made it worthwhile to snag him.

Heres to CIV Luke! :duff

Re: Yavin Luke Headsculpt

I can certainly see Hamil in the sculpt. It's not as good as GG's Luke in X-Wing bust, but it's probably in the top 5 Luke sculpts to date.

Re: Yavin Luke Headsculpt

I can certainly tell that it's supposed to be Luke, but I would place this one behind the first Luke PF, the GG X-Wing Luke bust, the existing Jedi Luke 12" figure, the GG Jedi Luke bust, and the Luke & Yoda PF. So that makes it about number six on my list. It does surpass the likeness on the GG Luke on Tauntaun head sculpt.

Thats true, but I think that the Non-attendee Vaderkin from last year sold out quickly, even with the burn out.

So I was more surpised by todays offering not selling out. Although I guess its possible they are now just lumping both sets together Attendee and non to get them sold.

Re: Yavin Luke Headsculpt

I still would like to see a naturally lit shot of the headsculpt. Hamill has a difficult face to capture and the weird lighting they use can through off the look of the sculpt.

I'll reserve judgement until he's in hand or they give us one of those raw sculpt images.

I don't know maybe this is a flipper factor too. There may not be as many people trying to pre-order to flip. I know after SDCC if you did a search for SDCC on Ebay you found thousands of items. I know that days later you could find probally hundreds of Sith Anakin.

Name a company out there that doesn't? Thats the whole point of going into business.

Re: Yavin Luke Headsculpt

This poll would be better served once Collectors actually see the piece in hand, not in SSC Prod shots.

A poll of Legolas based on SSC Prod shots is all you need to know...
