It is, and Ron Paul getting elected would be like a bucket of cold water thrown on a hot iron casting.

There's one option right now, and it is to back away slowly from the brink that ____-for-brains brought us to. Obama didn't ismply fail. He attempted to go full burn into a socialist state. Anyone who knew that the progressive model was impossible to succeed with saw that coming miles away.

The options now are either a gradual return to the true American system, or full blown violence. I'm not convinced the latter can be avoided now, but our best bet is to at least try to get back to something resembling sanity. A pro-business, pro-wealth President is a good start, if for nothing else than to send the message to Occupy and the rest of their ilk that their point of view is no longer welcome here.
Well put.:yess::hi5:

Romney would be Great, IF you are Rich...
When you’re rich, you want a Republican in office

but, I'm not rich, and you're not rich, and our parents are not rich, so
So your idea is to put someone back in that is openly hostile towards the rich? Unless of course it himself or some of his cronies.

not hostile, of course not, EVERYONE in congress is Rich,

but republicans have no shame, is like, everyone is rich and enjoying the high life
but then the republicans want to F__ everyone else up, with their religion and such,

I am not saying the democrats are better, to me both are the same, one big party of rich people trying to outdo each other,
but the republicans tend to be more crazy :dunno

Funny. I don't think either of the two main choices have any shame. Someone asking for re-election after failing to bring the "change" they promised is equally shameless.

Anyone with half a brain would know it takes a lot longer than 4 years to make any kind of changes that would be easily seen. Every 4 years politicians make promises... how often do they actually come to fruition? You could have a great President elected...but if Congress is against them, very few if any of their ideas will pan out. I think people should focus long and hard on their Senators and Representatives... they are the ones that can push the bills through that people want.

So basically you're agreeing that his 4 years were a waste since he didn't do anything. And don't forget there was a democratic majority in both houses of Congress when he took office.

I agree, there is no "Two Parties" there is only one party, The rich (and famous) people party,

but the only difference is that at least the democrats don't get crazy with the religious stuff, like the republicans,

do you know that in some states they teach Creation in schools, they wanted to ban evolution teaching

they are against birth control, they are against gay marriage, i mean, really, they are nuts, more so than the democrats, again, I am really not defending either,

but it seems right now their agenda is a crazy one

example:

like really do I need to say more? their religious agenda is ridiculous,

No, instead they go crazy with things like gun control, allowing 200 Mexicans to die so they can point fingers, despite directly causing the deaths, to further an agenda. Where you error in this is thinking one party is better than the other.

And pointing out Bachmann, who's been ostracized by her own party for her wacko statements, doesn't help. :lol

Only for his first two years - not his whole term. I just think it's naive of anyone to think that any President has the power to make great drastic changes. He may be the Commander in Chief....but when it comes to policy making - it's Congress that has the most power.

I totally agree. What's fustrating to me is that when one side proposes something, the other side just automatically is against it. It's at the point of being ridiculous.

It is. So many politicians just vote the party line. There have been good ideas from the Republicans and Democrats but neither party seems to be able to work together. Such a shame....which is why every year it's just more of the same b.s.

I think the problem in a nutshell is this: In the modern age, the career of politics attracts people who aren't bright.

I think the world (or at least the USA) has been increasingly put in the hands of people who go through the motions of being a thinking adult, but in reality they are just puppets in the hands of the people around them. Figure heads. Gross intellect has been in a steady decline for years and it is especially observable in the political realm.

you are right,
and I don't like either party, honestly I don't understand how can anybody think the government and people on congress are on their side or working for them, they are not,
voting does not matter, the electoral college decides who is president,

but I'm just saying, the republicans add a little craziness with the unnecessary religious agenda,
people think that by praying to a guy in the sky and quoting the bible they are going to heaven, while hating gays and promoting all that hate is a pretty sure one way ticket to hell..

plus I love how EVERY single person in this country likes to forget that Bush left this country in flames pretty much,
I LOVE I just Love this sudden Amnesia out of everyone, people act like if Obama was president since 2000... :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl
like all the problems we have are his creation, everyone forgets that Bush pretty much pave the way for this to happen

seriously, Everyone, Everyone forgets who the president was, I don't think Obama did a good job, but also how could he, Bush and Cheney pretty much created all the problems we have, obama just added to them,
there is a difference :lecture

I agree with this 100% But i'd extend that theory to the entire world. We live in a time of corrupt, twisted minded leaders. THAT imo is the only thing wrong with the world. But a very big problem indeed.

I agree too. Congress and the President stopped looking out for the little man a long time ago. Unless you got big bucks to help finance a politicians career - most don't give a damn about what the regular folks want. The few that do....find it's like pushing a big boulder up a mountain.

I think it's naive to think that one man can't make a difference. But you actually have to try to make a difference to get change. Unfortunately, we didn't see that last election (despite me voting for it), instead getting just a bunch of excuses, and I don't think we'll see any positive changes if he continues this election. Though for the worse vs. the better, even Bush got change in his last few years despite the Democratic majority in Congress. So Obama, with the democratic majority has zero excuse. He's a professional bull____ artist. It's time to see what someone else can do. Unfortunately, it's another dip____. But I'd rather give a new dip____ a chance, than deal with the same dip____ and not go anywhere for another four years.

I totally agree. What's fustrating to me is that when one side proposes something, the other side just automatically is against it. It's at the point of being ridiculous.

Problem is, when Obama came in, it wasn't "the other side," they were all the same side.

That's Exactly What I've been trying to say all this time.... Jeez...

they don't care, there are no "parties" there are corporations paying these "Spokesmen"
voting doesn't count, does not matter, Voting does not matter at all, the electoral college decides who is president, how do you think Bush got in power?

sometimes it amuses me people fight for either side or think that their vote counts, :rotfl

corporations own this country,
