It's not a popularity contest.

And by that I mean people should not be voting based on their gut reactions, suspicions, anecdotes regarding the candidates private lives, etc.

It comes down to one single issue. Do you think America should be a free society, or not? Which candidate will bring us closer to that, or further from it?

I think it's a simple choice.

Obama is a necessary evil

Romney will burn this to the ground :monkey1

You guys can't tell how much better a candidate Romney is than Obama?

I mean, Romney stinks to high hell, but seriously???

Romney was pro-choice until he had to try to get nominated by the Bible thumper party. I highly doubt he has any serious pro-life aspirations.

Further, he doesn't have the spine to deal with Social Security or MediCare. Even if he attempts to reform those albatrosses, he won't do anything meaningful. They'll still be hanging around our necks, threatening to drag us all down with them.

I'm saying either way we're ____ed. Obama = more of the same lies about progress. Romney looks like a conservative tool which could potentially be as bad as McCain would've been. But under the circumstances, I'm of the opinion Obama's had his shot and didn't do ____ (and arguably made things much worse okaying CIA funding of insurgents in Syria). Time for a reboot and unfortunately, at this point, a vote for Ron Paul is a wasted vote.

It is, and Ron Paul getting elected would be like a bucket of cold water thrown on a hot iron casting.

There's one option right now, and it is to back away slowly from the brink that ____-for-brains brought us to. Obama didn't ismply fail. He attempted to go full burn into a socialist state. Anyone who knew that the progressive model was impossible to succeed with saw that coming miles away.

The options now are either a gradual return to the true American system, or full blown violence. I'm not convinced the latter can be avoided now, but our best bet is to at least try to get back to something resembling sanity. A pro-business, pro-wealth President is a good start, if for nothing else than to send the message to Occupy and the rest of their ilk that their point of view is no longer welcome here.

all that might be true, but Romney is really not the choice, he is only going to make things worse, seriously, that's like choosing lion over a Jaguar, both my eat you, but the lion is much worst :lecture

If you think that the corporations, the rich, or some other boogeyman is what's destroying this country, I have a national healthcare system, exorbitant capital gains taxes, and an environmentalist Gestapo I'd like to sell you.
