Is every Predator not good tho? At the end of the day, it's all Predator goodness

From a design standpoint I think all the predators are awesome, some far better than others. From how they actually were in the movies, eh....not so much. AVP made all the predators look like a joke, it was really sad to see preds as pathetic as they were.

People disliked the Preds in AVP for being too pathetic and diskiled Wolf in AVP:R for being too badass?

I can see from an alien fans point of view as to why they didn't like Wolf beating the crap out of the aliens. But from a Pred fans view he was good to watch. Surely that's what Pred fans wanted in AVP.

It's a VS film so you obviously want one side to win. Wolf was written well, the aliens were not.

You're kidding, right? Swinging an Alien around by his leg, banging his head through walls in slow-mo is boring, crappy, and all that, but watching Wolf run around a town killing mentally retarded Aliens is BADASSOMGWTFAWESOME....?

There was NOTHING pathetic about them....... You need to watch AvP again.

Wolf was SUPPOSED to be the leetest leety leet Pred, but didn't seem like it because the Strause Brothers ruined him.
The AvP Preds were great.. Seriously, go watch AvP right now.

I do love all Predators, P2 being my favorite. I pretend that AvP: R was different, Aliens were smarter, Wolf Wasn't so dumb..etc.

It was a perfect design that did/does not need improvement. From the subtle movement of his mandibles before that first roar to the maniacal laugh at the end he had a sense of realism that has never been duplicated, matched or improved upon. It looked like a real animal/being. Everything since has looked like an effect. The “handsome” preds that AD designed don’t even come close. The behind the scenes’ footage of them marveling over how there mandibles open further always makes me think of SpinalTap “….but ours go to eleven” They didn’t need to open any further!!
As a side note. If 20th Century Fox were a nation, the Brothers Strauss would have been shot for treason for what they did

While I agree with a few points you made about scar, dont take away from the fact that for the most part the predators blew in that movie. Everyone I have talked to besides people on this site agree with me. Maybe the Aliens were slightly more retarded in AVPR. I didn't notice that at all but of course I wasn't watching there ever single move in the movie either. Really IMO they weren't much different than the others.

In either case, AVP was horrible...AVP-R was slightly less horrible just for the fact that I liked Wolf and he seemed more like a predator should be.

By the way, ive seen AVP at least 3 times....ive given it chances and am not just talking out my a#$. I guess you can get bent outta shape for someone not agreeing with you but its just my opinion so don't pull all your hair out over it.

Like I said, I pretend that he acted differently... Because it should have been that way. I hate the Strause Brothers for taking a good idea, and transforming it into crap.

Wolf is actually like my "Dream Predator". His (imo) elf-like armor, dual Casters, Alien tail whip, mandible design, head crest design (the more spikey look..), the marks + small metallic horns on the mask, slender body type, glove + metal spikes on his knuckles, shape of head, and battle damage are all things I've always thought would make the perfect Predator.
But after all the damage AvP:R has caused, it's hard for me to appreciate Wolf.

It's like.. When you're sick, and you think of one of your favorite foods, you get that horrible feeling because no matter how much you like it, the sickness causes you to be disgusted with it. And that disgust sort of stays with you for a while..

AvP:R = Sickness
Wolf = Favorite Food

ha, and although Wolf is my "Dream Predator", P2 will always be my favorite, even if AvP:R had been decent. Difficult to explain.

Re-read my post and see that I am in no way defending AVP-R as being a good movie. I just think its not as bad as AVP was, but in no way I am not saying the movie wasn't plain bad either....in fact the movie was horrible to a lesser extent Its like if I rated AVP a 3 out of 10...id rate AVP-R a 3.5 out of 10 only because I like Wolf.

I haven't watch AVPR in over a year now so maybe I should sit down and really pay attention to the Aliens actions because I am having trouble remembering them doing things they wouldn't usually do. As for AVP, I guess to not be hypocritical i'll have to pop it in the old PS3 to really pay attention to the predators and how they handle themselves.....ill get back to you on all this

First Predator was cool to see it for first time...plus Arnie was it it...well done film....P2 had more action and truly flowed like a well paced Comic book...You got to see more of the Predator and gear...Plus I loved the Elder and crew scene...It Rocked...AVP1 it was OK but did not have strong impact...AVP2 Wolf was a true BAD ASS! and quick...He doing not for the hunt but for revenge of a friend/brother etc...Better film than AVP1
