Every dork I know loves Spaceballs. And every dork I don't know also does.
Now, if we're talking "Life Stinks" then you've got an underrated Mel Brooks movie on your hands.

Based on the course of this thread, people have no clue what underrated actually means.

Those dorks you know and don't know, probably never saw it in theaters when it came out and only saw it on video or TV, which is why the film bombed when it was released, and it was critically panned by critics. Even today, it has a rotten rating on rotten tomatoes. So, it is underrated. There's a reason they never made a sequel when the prequels came out. I also say Coneheads is underrated.

So, defensive nerdboy posturing instead of addressing that Life Stinks was pretty good?

Is that comment intended for me or Riddick? :lol I think Life Stinks is fine, and I don't have anything against it, but it has nothing to do with my initial post, so I had no reason to address it. I was here giving my opinion on Spaceballs, not any of the other Mel Brooks films. There's nothing defensive about my comments, I just gave some facts about Spaceballs being a critical and financial failure, therefore making it underrated. Providing facts and having a different opinion about something that's subjective makes me a nerdboy? :dunno :lol

Both? :wink1:

As you said, it's opinions. But, to me, Spaceballs pales in comparison to most of Mel's works.

Death Proof

it's one of my favorite films of all time. it's been in my top ten since i saw it and it always will be.
i really don't like how tarantino said it's his worst film because that's just his opinion.
he should have said it's his least favorite not his worst.
in my opinion it's one of his best films and one of the best films ever made.

Grindhouse was fantastic. Still the best $5 I've ever spent (matinee) at the theater. I still remember a couple of people left after Planet Terror. Whether they weren't interested in Death Proof or weren't aware there were two movies I'll never know.
