Dude, it's my wife! :nana:

I've started cutting back as well. My upcoming buy list is mostly just Disney animated classics and Star Wars.

I have cut back a lot. Especially with me waiting to get more on sale unless it's something i know I want to see ASAP. These past few weeks they have been fewer and fewer. I don't mind waiting for a sale.

Same here. I won't buy a movie on Blu-ray now until I can get it for $15 or less. I have a bunch I spent $20 on, that I haven't even watched yet, that I could have bought for around $10 recently.

I haven't made a first day purchase in a long time; I can't even remember what my last one was. I might get the Star Wars saga day 1 but I'll probably just wait and see if it goes down for Black Friday.

This week I received Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story 3 (2-disc) for $14.99 each from Amazon.

Yea same here, The most I have been paying is maybe $17. But I been keeping it to a minimum for sure.

Just not worth it. Buying stuff day 1 and not having time to see it for a few weeks. It's just nuts. So I wait for a deal on almost everything.

Now if the deal is day 1, like Disney stuff, then I don't mind.

Yep I agree with everyone the few blus that I have picked up recently are still sitting in my stack of "things to watch" Yeah
I try and keep it to about $17 as well. Once it goes past that unless its something I want to see really bad. Then again, I havent had that feeling in a long time. I just dont have the time to sit around like I used to and watch movies so as others said no sense in me going out on day 1. Rather just wait for a sale.

I find myself looking at new disk releases and wondering how long before the double dip?

When LOTR hit Blu and it was just the theatrical I held off from buying. The expanded is what everyone wants and it was obvious there would be another blu release (and this is recently confirmed).

Or Avatar. The Blu disk had the film and that's all. No behind the scenes or deleted stuff. "I guess the change in my pocket
Wasn’t enough I’m like, ---- you!"

On the other hand when I bought the five disk Blu of Blade Runner it was pretty clear that it was the last word on that film. Multiple cuts of the film including a workprint and a new director's cut. An amazing disk of extras. This is the kind of stuff worth owning.

With On-demand, Redbox, Hulu, Netflix, Rocu... There's alternatives to re-buying my film library. I'm even considering cutting back on my premium cable channels. They aren't my primary way to watch most new films.

I could cancel DirectTV altogether and probably be a much happier person. I watch my blus primarily, and could sink that bill into continuing to build my library. Damn contract!

Picked this up last night. Gotta support this movie. A friend of mine from high school wrote the screenplay...

Awesome, I cant wait to see this. Ive heard nothing but good things about it. Plus I love movies that take place in one location or in this case...one very cramped location.

Then you should enjoy this one! I liked the ending. It's a real nail biter.

I always saw the ads for it during Sons of Anarchy but haven't seen it. How does it stack up to SoA and The Shield?

Really couldn't tell you because I don't watch either of those. If you like Timothy Olyphant, and/or though he did a great job in Deadwood, then this show is for you. I recommend it regardless, but Olyphant makes the show.
