Oh yeah :thwack

Well, it came out in the UK last week as well :lol

Yup, it's very weak this month.

Really?
HMV were really pushing it as a new release this week so assumed it was yesterday.

We did get a nice Digibook of it...shame it's a pretty awful series though...didn't like Convergence at all, felt like a really weak Hunger Games copy

Yeah, i saw the digibook a few days ago. No idea what's in the pages inside since the few people who've bought it only post a pic of the front and back.

Don't you mean Divergent?
But yeah, first one was pretty meh. Havnt seen Insurgent.

Lol yeah that's what I meant...I just wanted to see if you knew :wink1::lol

Yeah the ones in HMV were sealed so couldn't look but it does look quite nice...we don't get enough Digi's over here :(

I watched it round my brothers & just couldn't get into it at all.

Don't know what's going on behind the scenes but the Bluray UHD 4K consortium has finalized the HDR and HFR specs for the winter 2015 debut of the discs and player and 3D is NOT included in the specs!

No 4K 3D blurays, WTF!

Boooooo!

Hold onto your 1080p 3D blurays!

My Oppo's not going anywhere anytime soon. I'm getting to the point where I'll have to upgrade my entire setup to go 4K, 3D, Atmos. I'm old school with my 108P 2D Plasma in 5.1 lol.

Oh, but of course :lol

Same in the US. Not many digibooks being released lately.

Indeed. No way will I ever go back to 2D for any films I currently own in 3D. No way. Might as well say that 4K TV's are going back to a 4:3 ratio.

Funny, i never return to 3D after i've seen it. But i always buy the 3D release even if i have no plan on watching it in 3d since it's only a couple of bucks more for a cooler slipcover/artwork and a 3D disc :D

I really wasn't planning on upgrading to 4K, so that pretty much sealed the deal.

I was at a huge Best Buy in Eden Prairie, MN a couple weeks ago and was surprised that of the dozen or so 4K TV's on display none of them were 3D. FORGET IT. Not going back to black and white. Not going back to 4:3. Not going back to 2D. I was blown away by the picture quality of Laserdisc back in the day. I can be content with 1080p if that's the only way to properly watch current films.

Jurassic Park 3D > 2D
Predator 3D > 2D
Avengers 3D > 2D
Dredd 3D > 2D
TWS 3D > 2D
TFA 3D > 2D
ASM2 3D > 2D

I want Raiders, The Thing and Conan in 3D same quality as those! :thud:

The 3D "sky battle" at the end of GOTG is awesome too. Prometheus, The Hobbit, Days of Future Past, animated films like Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc, Wreck-It Ralph, and so on.
