Bill Hunt say that the TLJ 4K reissue will be available a little later in the year along with the Solo reissue. Both will have updated packaging to match the new black borders and he's already confirmed that TLJ is a new transfer. I wonder if Solo will be brightened up a bit when it comes out again.

Wait Solo also has a new transfer as well! :gah:

Damn man Disney really working overtime trying to recoup that TLJ-TROS box office shortfall.

So unprecedented to have brand new transfers of releases that are under 5 years old even 10 years old.

TLJ is 1 year old lol

Yes I'm very surprised that TLJ already has a new transfer. The only way to get that one for now is in the $249.99 box set. All LFL had to do was include an IMAX Falcon chase in TFA and they would have suckered me into buying the whole thing, lol.

They are stupid as they are greedy.

They literally are. :lol

One tiny addition and they'd have so many IMAX purists buying 27 discs, lol.

As crazy and absurd as that may sound it is factually true we would absolutely buy the entire box set 720p AOTC and all just for that Imax Falcon escape lol

1,350 minutes just for 10 minutes of Imax ratio lol

Holy crap lol at 720p AOTC with 480i live-action elements. :lol

:lol :lol :lol

ILM: BUT MR LUCAS if we degrade the live action elements any further we will be hitting Cannibal Campout levels of fidelity!

George: I SAID LOOOOOWER!!

ILM: YES SIR WHAT A GREAT IDEA!

In other news I just picked up Walmart Exclusive TROS and then had to hit Target to find 4K RO and TFA. :rock

BB messed up my store pick up order so freaking bad lol

TROS arrived fine but everything else I had reserved for store pick up was converted to shipping at the LAST minute while I was on my way to the store for the pick up!

I literally got the change in order status as I was pulling into the store parking lot grrrr.

I picked up the target exclusive for Rise Of Skywalker. Will watch it tonight to see if I like it better. Overall my favorite Disney Wars movie is Rogue One followed by Solo. Though these movies do look impressive I wish the sounds on Disney discs was as good as other studios.

I'll be very curious to hear if your opinion on TROS improves at all though I don't know that I can recall anyone who didn't like it the first time saying that they suddenly did after a second viewing.

That's lame. You said you were getting TROS, TFA, RO, and the OT?

I even bought the TROS 3D

My SW/MCU collection is 100% 3D complete. :yess:

TFA/TLJ 3D :drool

But the honest truth is that I also begrudgingly bought the PT because it would just be silly to not have everything match. :gah:

I did use my BB points towards the PT so that took some of the sting off maybe not the stench but the sting.

Mind blowing that AOTC looks better than TPM wtf lol

I don?t blame anyone for being content with the 1080p 2011 PT release and not forking over the money for these.

FML.

There is no greater wallet killer than SW truly an expensive marriage if there ever was one.

Yeah I'm fine with just owning the PT on the 2011 blu-rays and Disney+ for now. Maybe if they release them as a three pack or something I'll consider it but I don't know, lol.

If TPM was true 4K like the OT and ST then I'd consider that one at least but alas Lucas had to eff up the one thing that movie had going for it, lol.

So strange that LFL re-authored TLJ which already looked great on 4K (and in Dolby Vision no less) but won't spend a dime improving the 4K versions of the OT and PT that George did back in 2012 prior to selling the company.

They took the ONE SINGLE ADVANTAGE that TPM had over the other 2 and ruined it lol

TLJ is a money grab lol

But i?m confused over your statement aren?t these from the new 4K DI that Disney spent a ton of money on.

I really would love 3D versions of PT/OT.

The 4K transfers of the PT and OT are the ones that Lucas himself did ("Maclunkey!") when he was prepping the whole saga for the 3D theatrical re-releases which is what Disney put on Disney+. They only did the authoring on the movies that they themselves produced.

I really would love 3D versions of PT/OT.

As far as I know there is just TPM and AOTC. He screened AOTC 3D at Celebration 2012 but obviously Disney elected not to release it in theaters during their massive sweeping under the rug of all things PT prior to the build up to TFA, lol.
