Smart move. After how great 1 and 2 are, it really is a big stinking pile of WTF. I am also embarrassed to admit I have probably gotten sucked into seeing this train wreck of a movie over a dozen times.

I see it not as part of the franchise, but more like a Creepshow or Tales From the Crypt type of story. I also think it feels more like a John Carpenter movie than Halloween II.
