Just started Grave Encounters.

I saw this movie for the first time about 5 months ago and thought it was a spoof of that show on TV, Ghost Adventures.

I was actually surprised. This one turned out to be pretty good after all.

Never heard of grave encounters. What's it about?

Just watching Frankenstein from the blu ray collection. Looks really great. "It's alive! It's ALIVE!!" :rock

Haha :rotfl awesome. I'm gonna be singing that tune from now until Halloween. Haha. Really need to track the film down now I think. Does anyone have the new special edition blu ray? Is it worth getting? In terms of transfer and extras? If not I'll just grab a DVD copy.

The transfer is decent. I say on par with H2 on blu but not as great as H1. If you're into the special features, then get it. It has an all new making of as well as another feature that I enjoyed. Plus the whole packaging art is real nice. But see if you can get it cheaper somewhere. Buying direct from scream factory will be costly.

Anybody managed to catch the French horror movie Livid yet ?.
Keep meaning to pick it up and forgetting.

Hmm, thanks for the info. I do usually enjoy watching all the extras and making of stuff. Might try and see it on tv or online somewhere and if I think it's an enjoyable enough film I'll see about getting the collectors edition. I bought Halloween 2 from amazon and the price wasn't too bad so would just go that route again if I decide I wanna get Halloween 3 as well.

Just watching prom night. It's another one I've actually wanted to see for years and years but never gotten around to so was pleased when I saw it on the horror channel. Gotta say I'm a little let down. Even by typical slasher standards. :lol

Going with a classic tonight......

Never seen re animator. Always gets mentioned amongst horror fans though. Just finished prom night. Once the killer showed up it did pick up a bit, and I admit I didn't guess who the killer was. Still, not one I'll be revisiting often.

Original PM you watched?

I loved it a long time ago for the 80's vibe, now it's just boring really. :lol

Yeah original, I've wanted to see it for a long time as I used to love all the cheesy slashers from the 80's but yeah, was really dull and quite a let down. Picked up a little once the killer showed up and as I said, I didn't guess who the killer was. But yeah, not something I'll watch again. Quite the disappointment really.

Have you ever seen any of those ghost hunting shows on TV where they use devices to record EMP activity, disembodied voices, temperature changes, etc? There's so many of them here in the states. Some still here, some have been cancelled. Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, Dead Files, Paranormal State, etc.

Grave Encounters is a movie about a ghost hunting crew.
They go to a mental hospital, that's been shut down for a while, to gather evidence.

Right from the beginning, you get the feeling that this crew doesn't really believe in ghosts. This is just a job they do to have an income. But, as the movie progresses, the hospital gradually makes believers out of them. :yess:

This movie was a sleeper hit for me last year.
I still love it. :yess:

Cool, thanks man. Sounds good. Yeah I've seen a few of those shows. We have a couple over here but they're not often. Thankfully. :lol there is a good show called great British ghosts, where they just go to various haunted buildings in Britain and just listen to the various stories and reported sightings.

By yeah, sounds like a cool film. Might have to check it out.
