I watched Carrie (1976) for the first time last night. Pretty awesome. The whole nudity thing probably jibed with the whole hippie era. And the actresses were so beautiful.

Been watching all of the classics you guys have been mentioning and also been on a Godzilla Marathon since back in the day AMC at October time played all the classics Godzilla movies. What a joyful time I had for hours watching my favorites. Recently I saw the new Carrie Remake which I enjoyed very much. Will be watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre films. My all time favorite. Love the movie and met the cast of the original so it's much more special. Will also watch the Friday the 13th films along with Nightmare on Elm street and Halloween. Halloween is next week so lets get excited for that and Spooktacular!

Watched it again tonight too. I don't think I've ever realized just how dull and plodding this sequel really was. A real chore to get through.

I really like Halloween II, I almost view them as one continuous film, even though I know better. There are definite beats and rhythms I dig about that second installment. Given the ultimatum though, of course I would choose the original as the winner. Hell, it's in my top ten, and usually five films, whereas II doesn't make the cut...
