I really like Halloween II, I almost view them as one continuous film, even though I know better. There are definite beats and rhythms I dig about that second installment. Given the ultimatum though, of course I would choose the original as the winner. Hell, it's in my top ten, and usually five films, whereas II doesn't make the cut...

You know the flashback alone makes HII worth it. The kid is so creepy in a very natural way, and Laurie with her doll visiting him. Whoa!

I like to think it was all coincidence that she went to his old house to drop off the key and he decided to follow her.
