Ummmmmm...anyone care to explain?

i was like +2, +2.

probably about right for me but the poll isn't accurate imo with a lot of the assumptions they made.

I started taking the test suspicious of the graph. I soon realized the questions were skewed to the left, misleading, imprecise and not well thought out. The "right wing" comment about Thatcher helped too. Right wing of what exactly? There is no "right wing" in a socialist monarchy. LOL

The basis of any spectrum is a measure of something. Left-right means nothing if there is nothing to measure. In the standard spectrum we are taught in school; the right extreme is Nazism/Fascism and the left extreme is Communism. The problem is of course that both of these extremes only exist within the general philosophy/political definition of Socialism.

Historically, Socialism is always Left.

A better standard would be to measure personal liberty or wealth or something other than Socialist opinion. The danger is that people taking such a test could believe themselves more "normal" for being in a larger group or for justifying a position that is not morally or legally justifiable.

Libertarians do not tend to be anarchists since they recognize the necessity of some limited government. Communism, while totalitarian, is not the extreme of totalitarianism.
A better standard would be like Ancient Egypt or Japan where the ruler was the sun god on Earth. The extreme of Anarchy, while not stable, is a good extreme in the other direction.

I would like to see a better test. Maybe they can try again.

They could try, but I think they would fail miserably. Try convincing statists that there's an alternative to statism. You might already know what I mean. It's like trying to teach a fish to bark.
