It depends on what you class as contradicting canon. We know that Superman stayed in the Black suit until either he was turned by the Darkseid/anti-life or he saved Lois from Darkseid. That would mean that this either contradicts Snyder's plan or it is set after the Darkseid invasion (don't believe that for a second) or it is going its own path. Granted that own path could have ZSJL as canon but so far nothing from the clip shows it completely picking a side but it certainly feels more JL17 to me.

Actually we know that Superman continued to wear the black suit after ZSJL, then there is a time gap between ZSJL and the Anti-Life Equation from the possible future where he is also wearing the black suit, in this gap he could go back to the colored suit and back to black for some reason.

But I have a theory, the costume reacts to your mental state, in ZSJL it is slowly coming back to itself, hence the black which symbolizes the most powerful and neutral color. It tends to be associated with elegance and strength. This color conveys a sense of mystery, as well as being related to fear, curiosity, and sometimes emotional memory.

But I agree with you about the ambiguity of the scene, they are definitely not taking sides but I don't believe Cavill would ever go back to having another Josstice League fiasco, he learned the hard way that he is an actor and not a storyteller.

Guys keep in mind that cam rips always have saturated burned colors, so I'm sure the real thing isn't as bright, however it is brighter than MOS/BvS I also believe they won't mention Jossice League or Snyder Cut events anywhere, to stay neutral. I think this is a win for all of us. Plan to watch few times in cinema just to support Superman. This movie needs to sell well!

More vibrant colours for Superman is a good thing in my eyes. It certainly wasn't the reason Jostice League sucked.

Personally I can turn a blind eye to an incorrect coloured suit according to canon timelines etc.

The only thing which I see as positive is that the Rock has said he's for Zacks storyline. Whether that is "hollow lip service" to keep on everyones good side I don't know.

Taking a step back, you'd think people like Alan Horn and Zaslav will be aiming for a Thanos type event further down the line in several years. Darkseid has to be the DC equivalent, and that carrot has been left dangling. They'd surely have to pick up on that. It would be stupid not to.

I just really hope people like Toby Emmerich and Walter Hamada are seeing this hype for Superman and all this limelight The Rock is getting for "listening to the fans".

I mean it's not rocket science is it. The fans drive the hype and word of mount for movies to the mainstream.

I believe the reason is to show that he was confused, wondering why he was revived and how, that's what I said about the meaning of the color black that is related to fear, curiosity and emotional memory, feelings that are explicit to what Clark is feeling when he chooses a black suit.

I believe is because of the color of the suit, but in a way they already used this in the Peacemaker season finale, it does not contradic the canon as the black suit apears in the Cyborg vision as a possible future and the colored suit apears in the knightmare present.

Just by not having William's theme has made me more relaxed about the future of dc

I've seena few clips of the end scene. No Williams score which I could hear.

I finally got my Jaxon wired grey cape for the knightmare superman.
First things first thanks to t800 for the installation tips-the cape is much harder to remove than any other man of steel cape yet & you could easily damage the suit!
Second thing Jaxons wired cape is crap.
It’s exactly like the wires on the hot toys one-they cannot hold any kind of decent flowing pose-they don’t support the weight of the cape which is funny really as the cape is the same lightweight material as the hot toys one also the stitching is really large & obvious.
I wish I’d ordered one from unrealtoys instead as I have his on most my caped figures & they can hold any pose no matter what material.
The best part of Jaxons is the more accurate grey colour and it looks better for that & I’m sure il manage to futz it to look good but for what it cost it’s just a better grey version of the hot toys cape & it took 6 months to get here even tho he said it was ready to ship when I ordered it.
Iv ordered from jaxon before but never again
