I think that is what they want, Snyder out and Fisher out. Both have ruffled some feathers and if they do decide to continue Snyder's JL, it will be without Snyder and without Fisher. We might not see another JL for a long time and WB might just want to finish out the current members with their own solo movies. If this new Superman is not with Cavill, then WB is just throwing everything and anything out there. Guess it is already happening with a new Batman and the CWverse Flashes and Supermen.

?Officially? not happening. Lol just like the studio and so many people swore the Snyder cut would never happen....riiiiiiight. They wouldn?t throw around $70 million on a movie they thought would go no where. With all the buzz and positive reception there will be some sort of sequel or spin-off, only a matter of time.

WB is a stupid company. They don?t care about how much they gave or what the reception is. They want to do it there way. They don?t like Snyder anymore and they keep trying to move away from him.

They don?t like making money and pleasing the fanbasev

It’s odd that even if WB is dropping Snyder. They are also saying HBOMAX is willing to work with any of his future projects

No it?s not. They have a huge roster of characters but keep choosing Bruce Batman to reboot over and over.

Fans ask for things to be made but they don?t want to make it cause they don?t think it will sell. They didn?t think Wonder Woman would sell despite everyone wanting a movie.

As crazy as that sounds you are not wrong we are talking about a company that gave Whedon 120 million and then Snyder another 70 million to fix what wasn?t broken to begin with.

They can still have the Snyderverse without Snyder. Handled well, it could go on for a while.

True but they know fans won?t accept that.

You think Wor-Gar wants a Snyderverse without Snyder...a Snyder-less-verse!

Hell no he doesnt!

Its does not matter what WB makes they are fooling themselves if they think they can cut of the snyder fans . They should have taken a que from star wars but I guess they want to repeat their mistakes .

If they really wanted to make a film that is broadly appling I end not just make a movie that continues in the snyder verse like aquaman and wonder woman not attempt at rebooting once in flash and a second time with JJ Abrams you dont have to throw the baby out with the bath water. Build on what is good and leave the rest.

Rebooting does not guarantee success what are they going to do if even their upcoming movies bombs.

Get it together WB get a plan in place you want avengers money you need a shared universe

The decision makers at WB are making the geniuses who have been pushing the High Republic at LucasFilm look like actual freakin’ geniuses.

When it comes to DC, WB just make the wrong decision at every turn it’s so laughable. The MCU is getting stale and the Snyder Cut of Justice League was refreshingly different. They even finally have some good will and fan support towards their shared universe property (not to mention fairly favourable reviews from the critics) and they want to jettison it all and for what?! More brilliant ideas like a Zantana solo movie (as if birds of prey wasn’t enough of a lesson), race bending superman (to capture that black panther monies when black Adam is literally already in the pipeline) and the JJ Verse (he really is the galactus for popular IPs, mines anything good and creative out of them until only a shiny vacuous shell is left in its place).

For the first time in years I was actually excited about DC on film again and wanted to see more. Why does Hollywood hate making movies that the fans want to see, these hacks are so out of touch.

Thing is it took Snyder two films that underperformed and were not very good to finally make an OK Justice League that has the benefit of being compared to the JW JL film.

I thought the ZS cut was OK.. Nothing special. This is probably his 3rd best film after 300 and Dawn of the Dead remake.

I just dont think WB trusts him and I dont blame them.

I have read several interviews with the guy and he does not seem to like comic books all that much. He was the wrong guy to give this Universe to. WB is trying to correct that mistake. WW and AM are proof that other directors can take these characters and do it better financially and please fans at the same time (though i hate AM)

I will admit that I loved the final 10 min of JL and would love to see a sequel to that.. But I also would not mind seeing another more competent director who loves the DCU make the film.

Snyder needs to go make Sucker Punch 2 :lol

WB makes no sense to me - of course they wanted this finished to appease the fans and to garner a lot of attraction to HBO Max, but surely hey knew the double-edged sword they were dealing with in that people would want more of Snyder, more storyline dangled from this release. It seems a bit short-sighted to be completely done with it in all capacity. HBO Max with a capped budget to finish his work would be ideal, whilst carrying on their own film slate as-is.

I imagine the Flash film being so far along is a spanner in the works for them in regards to this.

I never thought ZSJL would release, though. So give it some time, I still want to see the results of how much this benefited the studio.

And Goddamnit I would love that Leto and Affleck film, please!

I think you guys are getting too emotional. The general movie going audience probably doesn't care about this Snyder Cut, nor did they care if it was eve made. You need to accept this as a gift, that you even got to see the movie as it was originally intended by Snyder. Snyder was either throwing a hail mary or trolling fans by giving them a cliffhanger ending showing the future as he well knows/knew the odds of continuation of his DCEU were slim to none. WB has done everything they can to put this behind them and move forward. I doubt they are gonna change direction. The HBOMax reviews don't mean much unless they are putting big numbers behind it. The Snyder fans are very vocal and want to make everyone believe this is the greatest movie ever, and everyone loves it. The "Everyone' part here though is in the tens of thousands, not the tens of millions across the world. That is what's needed for a billion dollar box office success. I doubt this would have ever made anywhere near what it would've needed to make if it was released in the theaters, even without the current pandemic, to get WB to change it's opinion and direction.

The $$ and praise needs to come from everyone. Not just the small Niche Comic Book fan market. AT&T is the one that greenlit the Snyder Cut, not WB. It was stated in various interviews by the head of WB. And as we've read, the majority of the footage was already shot. WB gave up on these quite some time ago and wanted nothing to do with this, thus the odd negative comments here and there. They're the movie studio, not AT&T. AT&T owns HBOMax. HBOMax is not a WB streaming exclusive service live D+. So unless AT&T get's into movie making, just because they own WB doesn't mean they can get them to do their bidding on something as big as reviving a failed concept.

Could this continue? Sure, anything is possible. But don't hold your breathe or get your undergarments in a bunch. Most likely, it isn't gonna happen and your just setting yourself up for anger and resentment. Enjoy your dark hero Snyder Verse trilogy, and move on.

Yeah I just don’t see WB putting up another 300 million for Snyder that is quite the risk just for his very dedicated core base.

HBOMAX subscriptions just won’t generate that kind of income they need box office billions for that and that is unfortunately one thing Snyder didn’t bring in

Again never say never

BTW I don’t agree that MCU is now stale if anything Falcon and the Winter Soldier has some pretty compelling drama with both Sam and Bucky’s predicaments.

Sure WV didn’t stick the landing (or did it) but it was still enjoyable.

Marvel better be careful with giving special effects of that quality on TV because no one is going to go to the movies anymore lol

Lets be honest here Falcon had better cgi than ZSJL and that’s coming from someone who absolutely loved ZSJL!

I don't think anyone here is getting bent out of shape for it. I won't lose sleep about nothing else coming out for it, but I will show my enjoyment for what we got and my hope for anything more, nothing wrong with that. I think there's more to benefit from some sort of continuation than not. Small scale limited series or films, such as Batman, with Affleck and Deadshot or anything similar would draw subscribers and encourage subscription retention in my opinion.

There's pros and cons for them to and to not continue. But hey ho, don't voice our wishes don't get the cream.

The thing is, now that Snyder has this success and vindication, how the hell do you control him? Imagine if you're WB and you have to sit down with Snyder to negotiate the next couple of movies... how do you tell him he can't have full creative control? I don't think Snyder is a bad guy to work with, but let's face it, with the positive reviews and buzz, right now there is no way you can bring any argument to deny him full and complete control of his movies. And I doubt WB wants to give him that much power, regardless of how well ZSJL does.

I think the only way the Snyderverse (meaning direct continuation of the events in ZSJL) moves forward is with him in a producer role, or on HBOMax.
