I'm not gonna lie when I went back and revisited MOS and BvS:UE Pa Kent's speeches actually made sense, lol. :chase

2 hour MOS and 3 hour BvS were both harder to sit through than 4 hour ZSJL though.

Good job Khev of Kev but me thinks Clown of Down and Buff of Rough will have something to say about your new findings lol

Wait til you see his Army of the Dead movie. There, we will all learn about the importance of socio-economics and dustdevils in Nevada caused by climate change that may or may not engulf the protagonist's father.

Sorry Snyder fans.... But it seems this little experiment did jack **** to get new subscribers.

Not surprised at all. The only people who were interested were fans and people in the know. That?s only a couple thousand. I didn?t think this would be a huge movie. I knew Godzilla vs Kong would bring in more money. The Snyder verse failed to capture the GA.

Blasphemy....

Surely there are/were tens of millions of fans who were clamoring and petitioning for this far superior vision and movie to be made... :monkey3

Greatest...Comic...Book...Movie...EVER!! So deep..

Certainly where the Twitter noise and small amount of fans dictated what a company did. Even the BvS backlash lead to spending way more money on JL than just finishing it like it was supposed to. How about just ignoring Twitter and going with common sense?

I really enjoyed the movie and thought it was a fantastic continuation of MoS and DoJ. While long, I didn't feel it was bloated at all, and I like how it took its time to develop the characters' motivations. I enjoy all the Marvel movies, but they can't really be compared to these. Both properties are doing different things and I like them both.

I don't get all the hate for Snyder - he's doing his own thing and is not thinking necessarily about what will make tons of money, but how to tell the story he wants to tell. I get that his end product is not for everyone, but I find it surprising if anyone thinks his Justice League cut is worse than Whedon's, or even marginally better.

Well, I'd say that's that. Too bad...I liked it a lot and was hoping to see it continue on the streamer. Instead, we'll end up with more disjointed movies, driven by big deals and agendas. WB is the worst home for DC. It was just refreshing to see movies in this genre that were artist-driven, even if every choice the artist made didn't hit the mark. Those days seem to be gone with all of the franchises.

I know Godzilla vs Kong is a big hit in here, but I couldn't make it through it. Pretty but it just evaporated as I watched. But that's what makes success now. Oh well.

At least we got to see Snyder finish his part 1 of JL.

I don't know where you guys get the idea that it did "jack **** to get new subscribers" or was a failure... :dunno

The article says GvK is the biggest box office hit, and both it and WW84 were big hits on HBOMax, followed by ZSJL. How does that equate to "failure"? In fact, the analyst they interview questions the wisdom of the GvK strategy and says that he doubts people pay 15 bucks for just one movie... i.e., people pay those 15 bucks for the expectation of what content is coming. And let's not forget that WB released some very fishy numbers and statistics regarding the GvK release, some of which directly contradicted each other and basically made no sense at all (like not counting the correct day ZSJL was released, or counting GvK's numbers before its actual day of release)... At any rate, all the buzz Snyder's movies get will not go unnoticed for any investor, and if the subscription numbers are going up, everybody's happy. And lastly, it's disingenuous at best to think that the ZSJL did not have a hand in growing those subscription numbers.
Whether that means Snyder will be called back to make more movies/series in the DCEU remains to be seen, but the "Snyder-verse" is alive and well: the Flash movie with Miller is going ahead, Gal Gadot is still Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa is still Aquaman... hell, even Margot Robbie is still Harley Quinn and Will Smith's Headshot hasn't been recast. Affleck is coming back for the Flash movie and the new Superman isn't Kal-El, so technically Cavill is still Superman. Oh, and Levi is still Shazam... So, yeah, the Snyder-verse lives on.

What seems clear is that there's a huge tug of war between Team Snyder and Team Not-Snyder in the AT&T/WB/HBOMax family that is muddying the waters regarding the "performance" of ZSJL.
