Lol they clearly want to move in and if the new Batman movie is a success I know a lot of people will jump ship and join the battinson train like they did with affleck . Sorry but the snyder verse is done . Maybe they?ll reboot it in like 10 yrs as a comic
It is either Batman or bust when it comes to DC for me. I did really enjoy MOS and Cavill. WW, AM, Cyborg and Flash just don't hit home for me. I am ready for BatPat and want to jump into that universe - which they are saying is Earth-2 now?

None of those are connected to what was shown in ZSJL. They all branched off to their own storyline. We won't get the Darkseid story continuation shown at ZSJL.

Don't really care anymore, we got the proper version of Justice League and it is heaps better than Josstice League, and one of the best CBM films. No amount of WB's trying to make Josstice League canon in this universe or even to try and make people like it will work.
They're just making themselves look idiotic now. No promotion for ZSJL at all, god reviews coming from people that slated 2017 League and now they're promoting that mess. Shame WB's can't just smarten up and form a game plan. either drop the entire DCEU and start again or use the multi-verse like ZSJL has paved and let there be DCEU and the new stuff - audiences are smart enough to know what is what.

As someone else said you won?t be seeing his involvement or the darksied story continue. They will retcon everything with flash most likely

Good shout! I'm waiting for HDZeta to lease their version, saving my fourth viewing for then! Really need to get a proper 4K TV for it, though. Will be a heck of a film to watch as a first time 4K viewing. Your BvS photos got me itching!
Yeah they're doing the equivalent of throwing pasta at the wall and seeing what sticks. I think they just need to realise that going after the Marvel dream will never happen. Marvel umbrellas over the widest amount of people and is easier to sell. DC has a myriad of shows and films which push and pull people's expectations of what each character should be or shouldn't be that fans will always be divided over them, let alone that a lot of DC just isn't really viable to be aimed at kids and the wider mass audience.

It can be. Dc has lots of kid centric things but they don?t know how to market properly. They had a huge boom of tv content in the early 00s and then fizzled out completely for whatever reason. They were up and above marvel before but whoever is in charge has no drive or incentive to make good content. They rather pump out trash like teen titans go and some of these good direct to video movies but they aren?t being aggressive with the content like before.

Aquaman made a billion, so that train isn't stopping. People still like Gadot, so you'll get at least another movie out of her. The Flash, who knows how they will retcon things after that. I think they will just ride out the individual characters and decide later on if they want a JL3 and if Affleck wants to stay on after The Flash. BvS made money, just not enough in their eyes. Heads rolled with JL, so they will be staying away from that for a good while. Odd when you know the connective tissue isn't totally there. I just hope they keep this all away from BatPat, it looks to be too good to be tainted by all of this other garbage.

If written correctly, I think Superman would be one of the least juvenile superhero characterizations that you could center a film around. No radioactive spider bite needed; no gamma radiation or super serum; no Norse or Greek mythology adaptations.
In an era where it's increasingly more common to believe that extraterrestrial interaction will be a given sooner rather than later, it's almost just as much assumed that we will be the vastly inferior in that interaction. So, a fictional alien being who is physically and mentally capable of being far superior to the species that he's been sent to live with still has legs of relevancy left to stand on. And the fact that he's raised here with a traditional Midwestern ethos to further delineate him from the increasingly nihilistic society of neerdowells that he feels a responsibility to protect just makes for all the more potential in a narrative, IMO.
The "big blue boy scout" version has been done well enough by Reeve, and was more fitting to the culture at the time, so I think Superman's place in the modern world is what should be explored now with the depth it deserves. An in-universe story with meta commentary on the idea of a "Superman" in our day and age.
I'd love to see a faithful adaptation of the story from Action Comics 775 called, "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way?" It has been adapted in animation, and adapted horribly (borderline criminally) in the CW Supergirl show, but never put on screen in a way that does the plot and theme of that story any justice. It's my favorite comic of all time, and could still be made into something so much better in live action. But it just wouldn't really fit the mold of the type of "safe" Superman story to pour cash into.

You seen the woke writer that JJ brought in to write the new Superman, right? Reboot is to make him black and to end oppression, however they want to define oppression (there isn't any in China cause they want that money).

This is the case for any highly over-exposed character.
I think it is the suit and cape that throws me off the most. Perhaps if he really looked like an alien -- something unusual, not a monster, not a bug... just different, then I would be willing to explore the immigration policies you suggest.
But didn't Zach tiptoe on that stuff already? Didn't the MCU build a world around the idea of super beings and how they are outsiders? X-men, etc... it is the defining storyline of comics... along with What is Justice and Who Should Wield It.
