Not only the hair and makeup but the scrubs are Ledger/Nolanesque.

Funny how we all thought Ledger would be the last word on the character. But Phoenix and Leto are both inspired casting choices.

The Joker Christ photo is reminding me of the now infamous reveal photo of Jared Leto's Joker initially, and not in a good way.

The article is really great though, quite a lot of cool bits of information in there. Gotta respect Snyder for not taking pay so he doesn't have to compromise on his vision.

Ledger gained legendary iconic status but then JP Joker was all the rage right before the pandemic hit best Joker ever Leto Joker was all but a sad memory and now BAM WB slams on the brakes and puts it in reverse!

If this was in a comic book no one would bat an eye.

But seeing as people have a weird seething hatred of Snyder, anything he does regarding DC is railed against automatically.

All I've been seeing on some sites with articles related to this is constant and belligerent hatred from the same people, and the same people vilifying the fans of the cut as being toxic, ironically.

With one hundred percent certainty, if you don't like Zack's work on DC, this cut genuinely isn't for you. Move on, you've made your mind up you hate it, stop pissing on everyone else's enjoyment at every chance for your voice be heard. It was heard, and it sucks to be you that you can't enjoy it, now let those who want to enjoy it.

At least we can get the true comic book version of Joker as a Christ figure, and not the deep and psychological creature we got in The Dark Knight.

People need to accept that Doomsday was handled perfectly in the BvS, and so will the Joker.

Did I say I hate it? I said many times that I think the joker looks good and this film may be good depending on the story. Sounds to me like your just being a sensitive Snyder fanboy who gets mad when people show distaste for something they don?t like of his. Nobody in this thread said they hated him they just don?t like a lot of his direction. Most people in this thread liked MoS but not everything. Cry me a river. Sorry I?m not gonna gush over a jesus joker picture.

I mean yea...... it does. His last few movies sucked to me. Snyder cut could go either way. Plus It?s a discussion thread. You don?t like it then make a positive Snyder thread. I don't understand why when those who won't like the film based on not liking his other stuff, people feel the urge to have to negatively comment on every single article. My post wasn't specifically aimed at this thread nor anyone in it, more aimed at blogging sites and comments etc.

But in actuality, don't you think there's a reason why there isn't much positivity in this thread? The constant droning and lampooning his universe by people who dislike it is a huge turn off in discussing it for those who do.

Makes zero sense, in this being a continuation of BvS and MoS, and knowing mostly how it will be from the original JL that this will have the same tone and themes continuing on from BvS and MoS. Therefore if you disliked those you're still going to dislike this. There's no sensitivity as opposed to a complete lack of understanding in this case of why people who have no fondness for any of his work to be as involved as they are, it's no longer a discussion, don't pretend it is.

Well those are just trolls who hate just to hate. I honestly look forward to watching the movie and hope it?s good. I don?t like Snyders movies but I still watched them cause I was a DC fan. I don?t hate the man either , I think he?s a pretty nice guy but I just don?t think he is meant to headline a universe as big as DC since he only has one style

I don't think anybody said anything about this being the "true comic book version of the Joker" (as a matter of fact, I don't think that even exists), so I guess you just typed that to elicit some type of angry response? Or to be funny? Ironic?
And I didn't see anybody belittling Ledger's Joker, so I don't know what the second part of that sentence is referring to...

You see, IMHO, that is the typical snide comment that seems to be there for the sole reason of making fun of or being irritating, since it isn't making reference to anything anybody has said in the thread. It's just gratuitous nonsense.

Well, there's a lot of people who have analysed Snyder's work and found it interesting and thought provoking, as well as lots of people who commend his visual style. Maybe not as many as those who deride his work, but still enough to make your blanket statement that "his work sucks" questionable.

And may I ask why you think the picture of the Joker impersonating Jesus is stupid? We don't know any of the background on it, nor the intention of the character or the director, or its meaning within the movie, so it seems a bit hasty to label it stupid. Furthermore, is it out of character for the Joker? I'd venture to say it isn't...

So, once more I feel it's just a statement put out there out of pure animosity towards the director and the movie.
