Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Lois been smoking that pipe lol

Yeah muscle suit is Shazam bad but I like his super quick takeoff though

The essence is what counts

But why the hell was his infant krypton ship full of water was his diaper generic krypton brand and not krypton pampers lol

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Wow, you guys weren't kidding. The CW captured Superman's essence in 4 minutes better than Snyder in 3 movies. :lol

I like how wholesome he seems when he tells the kid that his mom made him the suit. Having said that, the Fletcher suit looked awful with those fake muscles that disappear when Clark wears a suit. :lol And Lois, yikes...

Also, Superman gives the kid the baseball cap and then blows it away as soon as he takes off. :lol

Well, if you're a fan of STM and want a continuation of that, then sure, this is it.
To me it feels like the same opening of (of course) STM and SR... it's not bad by any means, but it just doesn't speak to me anymore and it doesn't bring anything new. It seems a bit bland and goofy (like the kid's look of "oops" when his paper plane punches a whole in the wall, which, BTW, is stupid). And the montage of Superman's "heroics" seemed a bit pedestrian.
But I think it's cool that there's this boy scout version for the fans. :hi5:

Oh, and I like the suit, fake muscles notwithstanding.

Besides Louis looking scrawny as hell this was very wholesome. Not a huge superman fan but when I think of him I think of a guy who always has a smile on his face and is a wholesome person and doesn?t want to hurt anyone unless he must . I always said the TV side of DC gets the characters moreso than the movie side. The movie side is ran by out of touch executives while the TV/animated side is run by people who actually care and understand the characters . Or Atleast try to

That was actually pretty good. I can't recall, does this still happen in the Arrowverse?

It does not but don’t bother with the 2nd half all CW like yuck

Still cool TV Superman and he did a decent job with his CR impersonations it was subtle but spot on

That was laughably bad. “Thanks, my mom made it for me,” while accurate to the comics, was so cringe the way it was delivered. And Lois looks like a cracked out prostitute you’d see in the back alley of a dive bar. I’ll take mopey/depressed Superman over this garbage any day.

You say that like it's a bad thing. :lol

Jesus that was harsh.

Just a little too much apple pie -- they didn't need to swing the pendulum *that* far away from Snyder ... and Lois was miscast, but a nice Superman who smiles? It's a welcome throwback.

Lol that wasn't harsh at all. It was edgy. Snyder fans are edgy and dark man. lol jk don't get mad guys.

Meh. thats the character. A corny cheesy alien. Can't make all the characters batman light.

I'm sure you're just being glib, as always, but what the hell.
I think you're wrong in that analysis...
To me, the core of the character is a good man with a strong moral compass who is always doing his best to help others.
The corny and cheesy bit has more to do with our retrospective perception of the way the character was written and portrayed 50-60 years ago (or even longer). The circumstances, the environment, the world, everything was different.
Snyder's Superman isn't evil, he's not cynical, he doesn't put himself above others. He's just reacting to a completely different world, one that is actually cynical and pretty evil, one where everybody puts themselves above the rest, so it seems only natural that there is doubt, conflict and a certain measure of sadness before Superman can really find his place.

I thought the "Thanks, my mom made it for me" was the best part of that whole intro, except for the costume. :dunno That's Superman. It's not like he was talking to an adult. He was genuinely nice and friendly....

unlike this sad piece of ****

Hell, I wouldn't want to be him...he's as hopeful as an AIDS diagnosis.

A corny cheesy alien? Lol tell that to people that wrote some of the most popular “dark” Superman stories ever. Kingdom come, Red Son, Superman #22, Final days of Superman, Superman the dark side, Superman and the Legion of Superheroes, etc. And you do realize Batman wasn’t always dark and brooding right? It’s the same with Superman, there’s multiple different interpretations of the character, but his core beliefs and values have stayed the same for the most part.

Isn’t that right after he just saved a girl from a burning building? :lol
