I think wez was probably confusing what I said with what T8OO said. I mentioned that Zack Snyder has said that he recommends that folks watch the two director’s cuts back to back, although taking breaks as needed obviously. He shot them as one movie, actually. But for practical purposes he broke them into two separate films. Anyway, I don't recall T8OO saying that he feels folks are compelled to watch it as one six hour experience, versus splitting it up into two movies. Surely many if not most viewers will split the watch between the two films on two different nights.
The point that T8OO and I have been making is that if people do decide to watch both movies back to back, there's at least one good precedent for a long watch like that, LotR. That's all. I also mentioned that people have no problem binge watching an entire season of a TV show in one sitting these days. It's not a bold or outrageous claim or anything. No one is saying that the director's cuts of Rebel Moon will rival LotR in terms of film mastery. Just that watching something for 6 hours in the comfort of one's home, taking breaks as needed is not a huge ordeal. Good grief, lol!
