The Dark Knight Returns (Deluxe). 10/10. One of the best of DCs animated. Extremely well done. Didn't care much for the Joker's voice. Liked Batman/Wayne's though.

It struck me how similar the mutant storyline was to The Dark Knight Rises. There are actually a couple of fairly minor points here that TDKRises could've taken from TDKReturns that would've made a big difference.

For instance, retired Bruce Wayne as daredevil rather than hermit would've been better for Rises. Have the cops force him into retirement a couple of years after the Dent incident -- and have him become a thrillseeker to fill the gap left by the absence of Batman. If you want him to start off injured ... start with the TDKReturns racing accident, and have the injury stem from that. Voila. That one change would've changed the feel of the 10-year gap completely.

I messed up big time the movie got a way low turnout and didn't even crack the top 3 on opening week---bad grandpa was numero uno, capt Phillips #2 and gravity #3---totally weird since this is Ridley Scott we're talking about here (Gladiator, Alien, Blade Runner etc) and written by what many consider to be the world's greatest living novelist (Cormac McCarthy Pulitzer for The Road etc)

The description said it had Channing Tatum, so right there I made the decision to smoke to make it more tolerable.
