Another wild night :rock. Broke two club records; most homers in a game (8) and most extra base hits (14). The last extra base hits record was set exactly 10 years ago today! It's magic time!!

:lol Not a baseball gal?

I loosely follow most other sports but I'm a die hard Baseball guy. Every game, every pitch!

Nope! If I can't sleep I turn on t.v. and watch a baseball game then I fall asleep. Perfect. :lol
Football ALL THE WAY for this girl! I do watch NBA basketball once in a while only the Lakers games (my mom was an avid Lakers fan-rest her soul-so I follow the team for her) :)

Yep, they retired his number on Sunday.

Eight homers, man, EIGHT HOMERS? :horror I think the one d'Arnaud hit is still traveling. :lol

i speak for all mets fans when i say we don't need no yankees fanboy even speaking our names.

the mets have been my favorite team since 1982 when i met Straw.

heres the thing, they are good for now....the pitching is FAR too young and un tested, and um, Daniel Murphy. He can't field ANYWHERE. he is a first class clown. can't wait to see him go.

if the mets win the east, the Cards, Cubs or Pirates will Rick Roll them in 3 straight. they do not stand a chance against the elite teams.

the young kids need more time to develop and take a few more ass whippins. they can use this year for that. the prospect of Wheeler being our worst pitcher next year is mighty fine.

then of course, they need more bats next year. murphy, cespedes, johnson, uribe all gone.

we need to move Flores to 2nd, FULL TIME.

Maybe not all Met fans because this one here doesn't get that intense over the rivalry. Only with arrogant Yank fans that talk too much s---. The Yanks are a great organization and over the years the always March out a line up that's great to watch. I wish the Mets could pick up the caliber of player that tend to have long fruitful careers with the Yanks.

I have a love hate with Murph. He definitely does a lot of bone head s--- but makes up for it in other ways. As much as I may curse him out, I like him on the team. Ridiculous if they don't throw some money at Cespedes to keep him around

Agreed about the top 3 in the Central. On paper they should roll right over the Mets, but anything could happen and that's baseball!

:lol:lol I get ya but it's a completely different story when you're into it. When you're a die hard the speed of the game is much faster than it is to those who aren't into it. Like my pops is a big golf guy. I appreciate the skill and difficulty of the game but watching it on TV is like watching paint dry; to him, it's riveting :lol

Travis crushed it. That was Duda deep!

Cespedes will probably want - and get - at least $100 million this offseason.

I get how good the Cards, Bucs and now Cubs are but I don't think any one of them would be looking forward to playing the Mets in the playoffs, head-to-head records notwithstanding.

yeah, i know you were kidding and so was I.

the mets will not sign cespedes unless a miracle happens.

he has an odd contract courtesy of **** sucker billy bean himself.

at the end of his contract his current team can ONLY sign him within 5 days of the conclusion of the WS. don't know why but thats it. the Mets, bargain bin buyers of yesterdays stars, will not make that hasty of a decision to sign a guy who will want multiple years and that kind of money. not in a 5 day period. no way. well, 99% no way. God only knows what set of circumstances will need to met in order for the mets to pull the trigger on this so early in the offseason before the big fish set the table for contract deals. the mets like to sit back and see where the market is at. personally, i would sign him today to an extension, but good ole Fred is a royal Dip**** and will do no such thing.....sadly.

but hey....we got 47 year old cuddyer and lagares who suddenly lost range and ability to throw because of a torn ligament in his elbow.

we need to put Flores at second, tejada at SS, duda stays at first, trade wright for a box of little debbies and sign anyone who can play 3rd decently. sign cespedes and get some releivers worth a damn.

What kind of idiot falls 100 feet to there death from a top deck completely drunk while screaming at/for A-Rod? His own stupidity got him killed. Very sad.

RIP, Yogi. :duff
