Really wish they could offer these as 12 inch figures

Look what they used to cost. I remember these on the shelves as a kid. I coveted so many Transformers then. Also, back then, the way inventory worked was different. You could walk into a store like Sears or PayLess and you'd have stacks and stacks of toys on huge shelves. It's not like today, where it's maybe 50 figures total for a single line. You could have 50 GI Joe HISS tanks just sitting there in a big pile on a big shelf. And that was just one vehicle. When people talk about a big wall of toys in the 80s, they were not kidding. At certain places, you could see 400-500 of those original run Star Wars figures just stacked onto pegs on whole aisle side by themselves.

I still love the Pretenders concept. It's a 40 foot tall robot, hiding in a 50 foot tall non articulated shell.

Looks really good @ShootingtheGalaxy I’ve strongly considered selling my MP Beast Wars figures in exchange for the premium finish versions of the kingdom figures.

I went through my old transformers in the attic and found this guy. He's imperfect, but at the same time really charming for what he is. We've come a long way.

My Beast Wars MPs are some of my most treasured possessions.

yea, they're pretty great and mostly show accurate. I guess I find something charming about the premium finish kingdom figures that remind me of what it was like the get the originals as a kid. The problem is that not all of them are good like Kingdom Rhinox and Terrorsaur for example. I really dislike how those figures look regardless of paint apps.

Speaking of Rhinox, I'm excited to get the MP figure, but I wish it had a more matte fininsh. Not sure why they kept the sort of semi-gloss look to him.

I don't own it, but from what I've seen, most ppl tend to display it in robot mode. Not sure if you've already purchases the Lewin Resources one yet. But if you haven't, there's also the Pangu Toys upscaled MS02 Optimus prime that's about 17-18inches tall, so not as big as the Lewin Resources one, but still fairly large.

Thanks for the info about the Pangu Toys Prime. I have had the Lewin Resources Prime sealed in a box for almost six months, and I am not sure where, or how I will display it.

Yeah, first thing is to paint Rhinox's eyes, then he's gettig a matte coat spray all over the rhino parts. Otherwise he'll be the only Maximal (if we count Dinobot as a Pred) who isn't chalky smooth to the touch in beast mode.
