Ford no longer has the vocals or the range to act.

Maybe he was supposed to be the big name draw, but then we saw that didn't work in Indy 5.

People saw this trailer before release and put it out, why? I wonder if it has to do with stocks and investors. I know nothing about both but.....

Nothing makes sense with Disney are Marvel to me.

Man, it feels like the whole thing has run out of steam. Each release arrives with a resounding “meh”.
I think it's partially the DEI stuff, some of it simply people got tired of the genre and natural gravitation away from things.

Every genre had it's day and people moved on. Gangster flicks, Western, Action movies.....heck even the summer blockbusters seem to have died.

I suspected Western would return, but nada the past 2 years.

There was a theory a few years ago I heard, we reached the peak of our civilization hence nothing new is invented or being made. One of the biggest proof is clothing styles. It usually changed once every 10 years...we have had the same clothing styles since the late 90's.

Well, if it were actually a good-great movie.

How many people were really into Iron Man until IM1 came out?

On the other hand, there's the YT rumors that aren't that great. Reshoots, poor audience test scores. But this may all be click bait.

If Disney/Marvel haven't figured out they need to get it together by now, there's no hope for them. I'd settle for a good popcorn flick. Heck, I enjoyed Aquaman 2, flawed or not, it was fun.

I have to disagree about clothing: colours, cut, pattern and styling have changed significantly since the '90s despite the recycling of trends, which is something fashion did for decades anyway.

I don't blame the seeming lack of novelty in other regards on 'peak' anything, but rather on the recycling and recombination we see due to the pervasive influence of post modern pastiche, and the weird 'flattening' effect of social media on design and style. Even where we have change it starts to appear bland and homogenous because of what we're shown and the mass adoption thereof.

I think trend cycles are also a lot shorter than they used to be, and vertical market integration has resulted in large corporations remaining conservative and lowest common denominator-oriented.

There's always that guy.

A long time ago, his great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather said "we've peaked" when the theory of a 'round Earth' was proposed.

Again, release date on February says it all: no faith in product

Folks are forgetting February is Black History month. Anthony Mackie is a lead etc. and Isaiah Bradley is supposedly some sort of sleeper agent. Besides it might be a relief besides the release of the usual *&^% B romance movies in February.

Tho personally not a fan of the whole IB arc or invention; because to me it's narrative re-hash. As would be - if it happens - a "corrupted" Isaiah imitating Bucky's arc.:pfft:

Rehash, rehash, rehash. For me anyway it's irritating. :stake Why couldn't the MCU dig into characters that are pretty unknown (again) but at least were original. Although more recent "original" characters for me like "Snowflake" and "Safespace" - never mind:horror. I'm no comic expert but think I'll stick with the classics.

I wanna know how regular man with a fancy wingsuit Sam Wilson is going to take down Red Hulk.

Everyone seems to get super-serum now just like SW everyone has the Force. :pfft:

Although, if the new Falcon is any good, maybe the new Cap and new Falcon team up to do something interesting. Dive bomb him or something.

Keep in mind that here he is playing the president. He's about the same age as both major candidates right now, so I don't know that he's so unbelievable, even though he's not going to be believable as, say, the pseudo action star he played in Air Force One.

He’ll probably use his vibranium wings to slice and dice him. You know, the ones that he uses in the trailer to cut off the wing of a jet flying at him at supersonic speed…..in a collision that should instantly rip his body apart lol. If he can do that then subduing a fictional, muscle bound red behemoth will be a piece of cake.

Seriously though, I’m guessing Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross will play a part in taking him down. I doubt that Tyler would come back unless she has a significant role. Maybe Ruffalo’s Hulk pops in as well.

Comic book logic doesn’t really work as well in live action.
If it did, Spider-Man has the strength to punch a guy’s head off, and Hawkeye and Black Widow wouldn’t have lasted long against super-powered aliens and robots.

Does this film take place in the Scary Movie universe??
