I got both the Asmus and CGL Resistance Leader.

I feel the Asmus is too underscaled and cartoonish looking.

the CGL is better overall and more accurate but too big - looks like a mid-teens (16?) person, I think he’s 12 in the movie.

I have the CGL figure, good likeness and accessories and clothing but the body is pretty poor.

Unexpectedly, they split them into Winter (film) and Summer (historical), which is better as I was going to get two anyway. This way there's less duplication of parts.

The film version isn't entirely so as they gave both sets a 'Berlin' arm triangle. The film was set in the fictional town of Falkenheim.

Berlin suits the historical nature of my collection. JoJo can cross over into the real world.

What does “Film” and “History” edition mean?

I thought JoJo wore both outfits in the movie, aren’t they both considered from the film?

If I’m looking at the product description correctly, the Film is the only edition to get the 2 JoJo sculpts - then you can use the spare to pop onto the History edition outfit.

He did wear both, but they chose to only put the Jojo sculpts with the winter outfit, and added the cardboard robot costume.

It was a weird way of doing it, but works well if you want two figures. On BBICN someone wrote they should've put both outfits in one set, but then you'd have to source a second body anyway.

They could have also included the JoJo sculpts in the History (Summer) edition for those that don’t want to buy the Film (Winter) edition/outfit.

I’m getting both (like you) so it doesn’t matter but it’s sort of gate keeping the movie sculpts behind one figure.

But I guess there might be collectors that don’t even want the JoJo sculpts to begin with and want the generic head sculpt included with the History (Summer) edition - can’t make everyone happy.

OSK is cheaper this time than an American retailer ($174 vs $200).

I remember the opposite was true for some of the other military figures - i believe the DID Maverick (Top Gun) figure was more expensive at OSK.

I snagged two of the new Artisan BWs with red hair and plan to redress one as JoJo’s mother. I’ll pose her with the JoJo in Winter outfit.

The other JoJo needs his friend Adolf so I’ll pose him with my Chaplin Great Dictator. That’s a good compromise until I can get a good sculpt of Taiki.

Any news on when we can expect JoJo?

Haven't seen any release updates, but he's scheduled for Q1 2025.


Too long to wait.


The last two Facepool releases I received - FP012 101st Buck Compton and FP013 USMC Sledge - were standout figures, so I'm expecting good things for the Jojo pair.

What outfit did you get for the ScarJo redress?

The Infinity War black widow would seem more ideal since it has the short blonde hair more similar to JoJo rabbit look (but that figure’s likeness/hair is subpar).

The Artisan BW has long curly red hair - I’m no stylist expert in dying or trimming hair to give her the JoJo look.

Honestly, I haven’t thought this out quite that far. I need to rewatch the film to grab screenshots of all of her different outfits then go from there. I’m really surprised that this opportunity made itself available.

I’ve decided to get this Artisan BW as much for the prototype’s facial sculpt as for her hair. So any other previous version wouldn’t be as inspirational.

I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. I still have to pick a specific scene to recreate. But I will admit cutting that hair myself seems terrifying right now! I’ll try every alternative before doing something so drastic to such a hard to get and expensive figure.

I managed to find two pairs of Moducase DF60s and Sixth55s in stock recently at BBTS and snapped all four of em up! Dunno what I’ll do with them right now. I sorta jumped the gun when I saw a way to get around Moducase’s typical 10 to 12 month wait times. But a JoJo diorama might work in one of them.

I’ll post pix as things progress.
