Seriously ???

I just feel the JazzInc went a little too heavy on the gloss. In some reviews where they show it up close the finish reminds me of the DC Multiverse Flash version.

It looks fantastic, the car is beautiful and I’m excited to get it, but I guess I just envision the black paint being a bit foggier.

I’m probably stupid. Ignore this post.

Does this really weigh 80 lbs? Ooof, I was having trouble handling the 2022 Batmobile just due to its sheer size, and it is pretty light. Can’t wait to throw my back out trying to awkwardly lift this one.

Someone wrote on Facebook that the JazzInc site says 30lb, though someone else weighed it and it's closer to 37lb.

Roughly 52 lbs with the box according to the website. 2022 was just half of this. Roughly 15 lbs more than the Batwing.

Edit: I'm confused with the specs there. Is the box 52 only with the car itself at 30 or is the 52 the combined weight? Because the 2022 has one wt at 31 and the box at 28.

Wow, the BvS Batmobile was 44 lbs and even with the 1989 being a bit longer I didn't expect it to outweigh that beast.

So around 60 lbs with box, sheesh. Imagine the weight for his complete die cast Tumbler.

I have no complaints with the paint sheen. I do wish the car surface was smoother though, some of the reviews show bad texture. Overall the paint is pretty close.

But man we really needed those die cast polished rims.

No one is stupid. I get what you mean.
It’s notoriously known that Returns’s car gets a more glossy paint contrary to 89 which is more a flat black.
In reality, both gets a very similar paint job. Semi gloss / satin black.
The difference is that Returns’s car is full black, It gives the feeling that the car is smoother contrary to 89 with more metallic parts.
But in 89, depending on the scenes, the paint job varies a lot.

The '89 does appear to have a gloss sheen in the 'test sample' review videos. Not the satin sheen I was expecting.

Plus, the paint surface shows some extreme orange peel & dust caught in the paint.
As well as the apparent casting sink marks, that appear in various places across the body.
I hope these issues are fixed for the production versions.

Joost posted in the Facebook group and said, "we are way too far down the line to change anything anymore." About the paint, he said, "it also really depends on lighting and camera".

I also wouldn't use photos of the test vehicles as a basis for the final product, but that's just me. Quality control involves alleviating issues that wouldn't be present in production, and JazzInc seem to be taking it pretty seriously with this Batmobile - which is their biggest project yet.

Yeah those sink marks are mostly what I'm concerned about, I thought they were just little dents caused by shipping. Figured the custom paint finish would have fixed those and covered them up... those sink marks just reminds me of the cheap looking plastic in Mcfarlane's and Spinmaster's Batmobile.

Apparently sink mark formations can be avoided entirely?

Needs to ramp up QC at his Chinese factory or take his business elsewhere. One thing is clear, they don’t have the eyes to inspect this like Joost does at home in the Netherlands. He’d never let that paint fly under his nose. How’s that factory gonna push out 700 odd spotless cars give or take per month?

Seems I’ve been pushed up a month.

On another note - yeesh, tough crowd in that closed Facebook group. I probably wouldn't be posting there any more.

Some of the members act like you just stepped into their tough-guy biker bar if you pose a question. Joost is running a business, not a social club. I think JazzInc has a lot of work to do with improving the atmosphere over there.

his cult is insufferable.

I’d love to read some of it.

I believe the Batmobiles are shipping from the Netherlands, so hopefully JazzInc does a final check before sending them out. Although, I wonder how prepared they are for any factory issues that arise, that can potentially push back their schedule in any way.

Plus all of the people who opt for sea ship straight from China, will take 2-3 months, then if there’s any QC issues, ship it back with replacements at standby? It’ll definitely be a process getting this thing out entirely.

It’d be devastating to wait that long and have your car look like the photo above, even if it’s guaranteed replaceable. I’d halt production on the other batches until he can be promised quality output. What’s the likelihood that he or his main team don’t inspect the sea shipments from China directly to its customer?

It wouldn't be productive for me to share :lol. My comment was sort of a PSA of what to expect if you should ever choose to venture over to the social group. Unfortunately, Joost only shares updates and asks for feedback from there. I think he should consider changing that as his business has expanded to customers outside of the group. Or, at least moderate the group a lot better as there doesn't seem to be any filter.

Definitely some quintessential Internet tough guys there.

Those are valid concerns, indeed.
