What is crazy to me is that the first 2 seem to have the same colour hair but the 3rd one (furthest to the right) looks to have very light brown hair rather than the darker almost black hair.

I think the three will look exactly the same after I work with them. Look at the hair color of the first after the "shampoo", it's very light brown too.

Honestly after seeing your first pictures i was like "what the hell did you do to his head"
but after seeing the last ones, damm you nailed it. That hair looks way more accurate and brings out so much more life in the sculpt.me when unboxing: where are my gloves?

the hair are fixed with some "Pliz" product, so I can barely move them without messing it up again. For Strider, I really wanted to clear the sides of the face anyway. For the other looks I will see. Amon Hen is coming next, I hesitate between a clean and a "battle damaged" look

When the magnets are pushed all the way down, they are not really usefull anymore and it works like a classic peg. And He will hold his sword without any problem.

I can't stand to keep with something that's not optimal to my eyes, so I end up customizing nearly everything I receive. Even when I have only one figure.

I really think the three will look comparable after the hair treatment. The third one has less product on it, so the color is lighter. The hair seems a bit shorter too, and maybe more rough, you're right.
But to be fair to Inart, rooted hair means a bit of inconsistency. When you will have thousands of same figures with plastic hair, wich is reproducible to perfection, you won't have two identical ones with rooted.
I think that's also the beauty of rooted, you have a unique figure and you can customize to your will.
About the burning technique, I first used it on Frodo's Jacket that was fluffy. (to burn the little threads) and I found it interesting. I knew it would work on Aragorn's coat. You have to approach with the torch on and you don't want to stay even for a short instant on the same spot, I may compare that to using an airbrush, that's the same moves.
If you don't mind me asking, how much of the hair did you remove to get it looking the way you did?
I'm pretty nervous about having the cut the hair so if I can get away with just brushing it/moving it to achieve the same look I would prefer doing that.

Seriously, I'm from a very modest family, raised by a single mother. Today I have a good job and even if I'm not what I would call "rich", I can buy nearly everything I want if it's not a house or a boat. Every day of my life I feel blessed and so lucky because I know what hard times mean. And if hard times come back, it will be fine as long as my family is healthy. In the meantime, I enjoy what I can

Not that much, only the strands before the eyes. And I feel I shouldn't have cut as much on the right side (his right side). I could have let a bit more length as I did on the other side.
