I've said it before, but you've done a really good job on restyling the hair :clap
Thanks Gipetto :duff

I tried my best in following your recipe and others’. I’d like to de-clump the caked hair at the hairline a bit more. I’m also still thinking of adding green dye and brown roots. Been so busy the past couple months, so haven’t found a great time to do it

There's so much coping on FB from people who put their money on InArts trying to convince people or themselves that the HT Joker isn't better. :lol

As someone who owns the InArts Joker, and got lucky with good rooted hair on both sculpts, I can say the HT Joker is better in every category, except that it's a single figure with one head sculpt. Having said that, everything about the figure looks better. So far, Inarts has made two great figures, Gandalf and Batman. Pennywise came up short, and Eregon looks nothing like the prototype. Even the outfit looks bad.

I'm tempted to get a HT sculpted hair Joker, but it just seems like a downgrade after seeing the Artisan. Maybe not all Artisans will look great, but we'll see. I might just wait and see if HT makes another Joker. Maybe an interrogation scene version or something else. In four years, it'll be the 20th anniversary of TDK, so we might see an updated reissue version. I think waiting might be the best option.

I'm sure after success of this release nèed to watch for a premium format artisan joker release not very far behind. I wish we could get this many release's for Christopher Reeve Superman.

Literally, though. I keep holding out for InArt to show off their revised prototype. Partly in the hopes that it fits the bill and partly in the hopes that, if it doesn’t, Hot Toys follows it up with their own attempt.

I think this shot is the first time where it’s looked good to me. That off putting lime green vest though..

Just looking at these pics next to eachother, the eyes ruin it completely for me. They look cartoony. Doesn't really help your argument that it's superior somehow. Not trying to convince you or anything. I'm glad you prefer your InArt, it's a decent figure. But your argument that HT's "doesn't even look like the character" is a stretch. I'm pretty sure anyone who's seen the film would know exactly what character it's supposed to look like, lol.

I really don’t see how the likeness isn’t strong. It’s the hair in how caked it is, especially at the hairline, that holds it back and also the faint striations that should be more prominent (like how Hot Toys did it) for the Raccoon painted eyes. But the base sculpt and even despite the inadequacies, it’s a strong sculpt, and yes, overall, it’s better than Hot Toys who doesn’t even look like the character. IMO.

His pupils were also positioned outward a lot of the time. While mine are more aligned (not cross-eyed anymore, I converted them to SERS), maybe I should still position the pupils outwards.

Like others have mentioned, he also looked different depending on the scene and prosthetics and make up on different days when filming or posing for costume tests/promotional material, etc.

You can keep posting pics of your InArt head here and saying it's better. But I don't think it's going to convince anyone who prefers the HT Artisan. Just looking at these pics next to eachother, the eyes ruin it completely for me. They look cartoony.
Not looking to convince anyone. Just offering my own opinion and discussing.

But I know I’ll be alone on the hill, it’s all good.

Never said HT Artisan is terrible or anything like that.

Ah you edited. When I say it doesn’t look like the character, I only mean the likeness isn’t as strong to Ledger portraying the character as it could be. I’ve noticed it happens with other Hot Toys figures where they don’t really nail the likeness, and instead it’s more like a faint image of what the character should look like. IMO.

I must be blind because I think this headsculpt is dethroning Yondu as their best ever. I get where you're coming from with InArt - I see Heath in makeup, clearly. But with the HT sculpt I see the Joker, the character, not just Heath.

Down to the wire now, as JND's will be the last of the "New Joker" wars...

I don't have high hopes for JND but I am hopeful.
JND is taking a lot of big swings with their silicone sculpt. Let's see if they can land it. I mean it's their first release like this yeah? So like InArt, there may be a learning curve for them.

Yup. I love the silicone concept, but I wasn't crazy about the proto. And the smiling version looks strangely like the new Reeves Joker.

But having all these Joker parts and heads and bits is a fantastic thing. I still want the HT Joker coat. I'd like to try and get the head so I can see it in person but I'm quite certain that is going to be near impossible now (or very, very, very expensive).

But yeah, its HT, so Artisan 2.0 is definitely ready to spring once this finishes shipping.

I also kinda want the HT Joker coat too.

I have the Artisan on PO, and currently debating if I wanna keep it to sell later sealed, or keep certain things I prefer and part out the rest. I don’t think cancelling it is wise. I’ve also thought of using it as a trade piece for Artisan Anakin.
