Legolas’s hair is also easier to achieve in rooted form, and I bet there’d be less variance. His hair is straight.

Part of me disappointed just like you, because it justifies the price hike.
The other part of me is happy because if Legolas sales is great, then InArt will make the rest of the fellowship.

But I agree, InArt needs to keep the price in check. Rooted Aragorn and Gandalf price are ok, with all those accessories etc. Legolas should be cheaper.

I preordered because to be honest, he looks amazing. The likeness, etc. Best Legolas in 1/6. I need him to complete the bunch.
I’m happy if I can get him close to the proto, but will definitely be happier if InArt add more essential accessories when it’s finally released.

They really need to add the Mirkwood bow. As is, INART is essentially putting out a Legolas figure that doesn’t even pair accurately with Gandalf the Grey.

Yep. To do the costume, hairstyle, and weapons justice, Gimli will probably be the most complicated, heavy, and expensive of the bunch.

He might touch on Deluxe Nazgul prices. I reckon IA will feel compelled to throw in a Balin’s Tomb diorama base to soften the blow- and I’m here for it!
 
I know this is the Legolas thread, but this falls back to the conversation about what I was asking about what people's expectations are when opening these figures? I mean this is some next level petty s#&t if you ask me. Both of these things are a non issue.

Threads can and very likely were never meant or were ever the same length in the films. And the "stain" on the "skirt" he mentions can easily be weathering.

Some of you collectors are just looking for s#&to to bitch about at this point. Laughable and idiotic.

I'm more upset that the slit where the boots are folded down is on the side rather than the back...😅 literally every other 1/6th Aragorn has that detail correct.

Yeah, I'm afraid of that. But at least in that case, the sooner we get him, the sooner we can move to the cheaper ones.
 
Im fine paying extra for Legolas as long as that translates into perfect elven hair braids (so more of that Harry Potter straight hair?) and quality costume pieces.

Given it's probably at least another 5 years to complete the Fellowship, I think we'll be lucky if any thing is cheaper than Legolas. Maybe if Frodo is released in 26/27 he could be less, but Gimli and Boromir will definitely be more regardless of when they're released.

No shot Frodo is less, tbh. Developing an all new Hobbit body, the usual rooted sculpt, rooted feet(?)... He's not gonna come cheap despite his size, I'm afraid.

And honestly, I can see them locking the Hobbits in 2 packs. Frodo and Sam and then Merry and Pippin.

Maybe...just maybe we get a standard sculpted Frodo by himself. But I can't see them thinking anyone will buy Sam alone. Or buy Merry without Pippin or vice versa.
 
Yeah, you might get some folks that will just want Frodo, but there won’t be many that just buy Sam.

Merry and Pippin could be separate if they were in their Rohan/Gondor armors, but I’m sure they’ll be in their Shire outfits so probably makes sense to pair them together too. In those clothes you want both, or none.
