I am one of those who has not ordered yet so it is of interest to me.
I also haven’t ordered. If I can get Legolas for about $425-450, new, I’d be interested. I’ve said a few times I don’t trust their rooting after all the different ways the Aragorns came out. I’m a sculpted guy through and through but even those seemed to have problems with the paint and whatever else.

I think the right leg on my Aragorn is longer than the left leg because he doesn’t seem to stand unless the right leg is bent. Probably why mine took a dive off its base already. That said, it’s why I didn’t want jump on Legolas at over $500.

I do hope it’s a smaller production run on whatever figures moving forward. Smaller runs means hopefully the workers aren’t getting burned out as fast and therefore should be making less mistakes, or mailing it in less.

Didn't Kit (or somebody here?) say that Legolas was on pace to sell just as many figures as Aragorn? I remember being disappointed seeing it because it just justifies the price hike.
Part of me disappointed just like you, because it justifies the price hike.
The other part of me is happy because if Legolas sales is great, then InArt will make the rest of the fellowship.

But I agree, InArt needs to keep the price in check. Rooted Aragorn and Gandalf price are ok, with all those accessories etc. Legolas should be cheaper.

I preordered because to be honest, he looks amazing. The likeness, etc. Best Legolas in 1/6. I need him to complete the bunch.
I’m happy if I can get him close to the proto, but will definitely be happier if InArt add more essential accessories when it’s finally released.

They really need to add the Mirkwood bow. As is, INART is essentially putting out a Legolas figure that doesn’t even pair accurately with Gandalf the Grey.

Based on the hair and beard, add chain mail and diecast all weapons. His cost will be the same or more. Easy.
Yep. To do the costume, hairstyle, and weapons justice, Gimli will probably be the most complicated, heavy, and expensive of the bunch.

He might touch on Deluxe Nazgul prices. I reckon IA will feel compelled to throw in a Balin’s Tomb diorama base to soften the blow- and I’m here for it!

I know this is the Legolas thread, but this falls back to the conversation about what I was asking about what people's expectations are when opening these figures? I mean this is some next level petty s#&t if you ask me. Both of these things are a non issue.

Threads can and very likely were never meant or were ever the same length in the films. And the "stain" on the "skirt" he mentions can easily be weathering.

Some of you collectors are just looking for s#&to to bitch about at this point. Laughable and idiotic.

I'm more upset that the slit where the boots are folded down is on the side rather than the back...😅 literally every other 1/6th Aragorn has that detail correct.

A ranger, living in the wilds, has "stains" on his skirt? I don't buy it./s

Yeah, I'm afraid of that. But at least in that case, the sooner we get him, the sooner we can move to the cheaper ones.

Im fine paying extra for Legolas as long as that translates into perfect elven hair braids (so more of that Harry Potter straight hair?) and quality costume pieces.
