Yeah i am thinking that HT and rooted hair is just not something they are going to master no matter how many times they do it. Just too many qc issues to deal with. That time would be better spent further improving paint work and sculpted hair.

Got a shipping soon notice from Sideshow last night. Finally!
The hair on the sculpted version is pretty incredible, I think the best sculpted hair we've seen on a ledger joker figure. Sometimes looks better than the rooted imo

Some food for thought.
Grabbed this photo from the imposter Joker thread. To my untrained eye, the hair looks rooted to the scalp and doesn't look to have the glue line issue of this Artisan scalp.
This is just a one off example but I did observe a few others and they looked similar.
If this pattern continues with a bigger sample size of both versions then looks like more effort was put into the imposter hair than the Artisan hair. I say this specifically to the scalp integration since the overall hairstyle of the Artisan looks better than the Imposter's.

The artisan hairline is done different and does look better in hand, there is a very subtle raised rind where the hair emerges that makes it look more natural where the white paint is caked subtly on the hairline, tho where the painters didn't pay as much attention to that you can tell its rooted not grown if you stare at it. If you do not look at the figure in a magnifying glass, it looks fantastic.

I am receiving two. I will be selling one.
Here are a few (cellphone) snaps of my Artisan.
So, I wasn’t happy with the very visable seam at the hair line plus I had some of that orange flaking the someone else posted about earlier, especially on the removable panel and the hair hanging partially over the face. Reached out to Sideshow and they sent me a replacement. This one’s got much better hair with no seam on the hairline nor orange crust flaking off.
-Vest and tie are custom by WonderWorld.
-Hands and wrist pegs are from InArt (though I’m not 100% happy with them like I thought I would be). I’m thinking I might keep with the HT hands or just buy the WonderWorld ones. I actually like the HT hands, I just wish they weren’t so multipurpose
-Grenades are also from InArt. Going to have to change out the thumb ring for something more in scale like the one HT used
I will be purchasing a spare HT coat to remove the grenade rig for more standard poses. I chose the mob/grenade pose for now as I haven’t done it since I owned the DX01 so many years ago. Never did it with the InArt. And, even though I'm much happier with the replacement head, I will still get a sculpted hair head to have just in case.
