Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Funny thing is: most of the force we see in this movie, has already been done in The Clone Wars or Rebels. So blame Lucas for teaching Filoni if you're upset with the force in this movie. :lol

Will the failure of the Last Jedi affect the value of OT collectibles?

I wouldn't call it half the audience. If you look at the scores given at imdb (nearly 300.000 voters, more than rotten tomatoes audience score), you will see that 28% scored it a 6 or lower. so 72% liked the movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2527336/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rt So basically, nearly...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Thank you for bringing this up. I loved TFA, but no longer! I need a therapist now, this has caused me a major trauma.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

I really hope for those of you who hated it, that there's an old republic trilogy coming for you guys. Written and directed by Rian Johnson.

1/6 Hot Toys - Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Vice Admiral Holdo - SPECULATION

I don't think she would look out of place in some fancy place on Coruscant. That's the vibe I was getting at times, her design, and the design of Canto Bight, are heavily based on the prequels in my opinion.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Why do people find that weird? Lucas already established that with the prequels. There are thousands of jedi. The Jedi actively seeking out force sensitive children, often born to non force sensitive parents. So what's different about this?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Their battle with Kylo/Rey was the best scene of the movie, if not the whole franchise for me. So yes. Way more so than Phasma.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD I think what you have to accept is that the scene is more about Kylo and Rey, and what it does setting them up for 9, than what it does for Snoke. On one hand, it might rob us of a great villain in Snoke, but I actually don't mind, because...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

OT had no coherent plan either. Did you really think they knew Leia was Luke's sister when they had her kiss him? They made it up as they went along. All movie franchises do, unless it's based on a book series.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD In all honesty, it took quite a few years after the OT to get the Vader/Palpatine back story. It's called the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and the Revenge of the Sith. We don't know a whole lot about Vader/Palpatine, just going...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD There was a ton of sexual tension between Rey and Kylo. Seriously. Kylo basically killed Snoke for her, they fought together, they wanted to be together. It's just that Rey wanted it to be on the light side, where as Kylo wanted it to be...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD It was actually a beautiful death. He even said to Kylo, something along the lines of: ''when you strike me down, I will haunt you, just like Han already haunts you.'' Which makes me think that Luke uses his own death to cripple Kylo with...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

In all honesty, the leaks make certain things sound worse than it actually is. I read what happened to Luke, hated it, yet when I watched it, I loved it. I have to say, sure, I like the old films, but some of the acting, especially Hamill's, wasn't that great. There is a reason why he was always...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Just seen it, and loved it. But what I love the most? The fact that the fans criticized the Force Awakens for being too save, Rian Johnson comes in, does something completely different, and the fans are freaking the **** out, almost a complete meltdown :rotfl

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

I do agree with that, but I don't think Star Wars today is purely for kids? I mean, Rogue One is not a film for kids at all. And the Force Awakens is, well, about as much for kids as A New Hope is :rotfl But as I said, I think the old cast are just too old to carry the trilogy, they're too late...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Carrie's passing showed exactly why they didn't go with the old generation. And even Mark hasn't been looking too great this press tour, out of breath, one time even spotted in a wheelchair. They're too old now. If you've wanted a trilogy on them being badass, they should've done it at the time...

For those not liking reluctant Luke, he's looking (and sounding) pretty much like old Luke here at 0.15: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az2hzAKKsgk

Statue Ghost in the Shell: Mixed-Media 1/4 Scale Statue - The Major by Weta Collectibles

For what it's worth, the Weta page shows prices without taxes. If your statue had been in stock in the EU, you would've had to pay the extra 21% in taxes at check out, so no, your statue would not have cost just 390 euro's. It would've been pretty close to the 470 euro's you paid.
