That's surprising. Do you think it would be a better investment to spend more on repairs than to ship that giant piece back?

Just received the 89 Sakai X-plus. I'm happy with the purchase, despite my initial skepticism (it's my first vinyl model!) The paint app is great, and I like how the eyes glisten in the light-- talk about film accuracy, that was something I liked very much in the movie. The only gripe I have is...

Interesting. I'm wondering what your opinion is on artistic-licensed resin models ? I'm sure you've seen (and probably even have) the T's Facto Evolution or Sakai Originals like on my avatar-- so I'm just curious what your take is since those are purely conceptual. I guess movie-accuracy...

From my impression, I think the quality difference from the 1989 original Zokei kobo Resin kit compared to its X-plus recast is pretty considerable, and warrants some discussion. The difference between the Burning-G resin and the X-plus ver. on the other hand isn't as big imo-- the texture is...

Quite a bigger difference than what I expected. I was hoping the direction in quality would gear more towards the burning G. Looks good overall though! but for the price, it does raise an eyebrow or two. or three. Left Photo taken from Tokyo Toy Fiend

Thanks for sharing. The sculpt looks nice, though I'm a bit disappointed in the paint app and the teeth. It's my first x-plus and Godzilla vinyl model overall. So I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.

Interesting. I see what you're saying, but I attribute the more stone-like appearance of the original resin kit to the paint-job than the sculpt itself. Texture-wise they also look very similar, though that's just my impression from the pictures.

I agree. great pictures Jaws. Quite a sight to see them all together. Just curious. Are all those X-plus G's (reissue and original) made from the same material? Can the feel / texture differ widely model-to-model? Might just be the pictures, the design of the suits themselves, or even the paint...

Decisions, man. Is there any rush to own one though? I don't collect any X-Plus models, so I'm not too familiar if there are released in limited quantity like kits at Wonderfest. To me it makes sense to wait until the model comes out if you're on the fence.

Hey guys. New member. Just wondering where you all display your X-plus burning G's. That things pretty massive. A little too big for a paper-weight haha. I kid
