    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Ah... no wonder. My mistake. I generally never go into the other boards.

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Seriously, did everyone completely miss these? O_o https://www.toyark.com/3a-toys-metal-gear-rex-8822/
  3. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Needless to say, I was floored when I saw it. Thanks :D Can't wait to get a set. By the way, how come noone's commented on the 3A REX??? https://www.toyark.com/3a-toys-metal-gear-rex-8822/ I personally am going to pass (too grimy/real worldy) but the sheer size of the thing makes it very...

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Will get back to the other stuff but before that... Did anyone else do anything MGS related for Halloween? The REX was totally incidental and unplanned; I was over my friend's house when he came. I nearly shat myself.

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Once you get into MGO, you'll be frustrated for different reasons... I've been playing it on and off since it came out so I've definitely gotten the most mileage out of it as far as my PS3 games are concerned... But it can be incredibly maddening for a number of reasons. It didn't take long...
  6. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Honestly I wish I had the dough to justify collecting them. But other than a few random SW Kubricks and the Green Hornet set, I'll have to stick with the MGS ones. Yeah for some strange reason I can't get into Minimates either. O_o I've said this before but I think it really lies in the...
  7. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Yeah but that's what I'm saying, the SRP of a 1/6th figure is $90 up. A Kubrick on the other hand, goes for what, 600 ~ 900 yen? It's the fans that dictate the ridiculous price tags, not Medicom. So if anyone deserves chastising, it's the collectors and not the manufacturer nor the product...
  8. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

When you put it like that, you can apply the logic to anything. For example, non-collectors could look at any 1/6th scale figure and say, $160 for a Barbie doll? Although granted, a 1/6th scale is much easier to justify than a Kubrick... But... I guess what I'm trying to say is it's just...
  9. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Same... I can't afford to drop dime on them like I used to, but I paid $120 on the Olive Drab and $100 on Raiden, $50 on Cold War and Square Camo. Still tempted to buy a box and try my luck... Part of me hopes that the Chases will be lame like the last set. That way it won't cause me too...

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Haven't been in the thread for a while and it's good to see so much discussion ^^ Yeah I saw those a while back but I just don't like that goddamn head :lol Plus I play through the game the entire time with the Young Snake mask on anyways :lol I can't say I blame you. Looking forward to...
  11. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

I guess I'm ^^^^ out of luck then :lol I guess I should start looking for one of those old Konami 12 inch Solid Snakes and and try and do that kitbash I always wanted to.
  12. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Hear hear. Such a shame too... I kept wondering if it'd be possible to do a headswap with a Naked Snake head... but then again, who the hell has the money to do that? :lol
  13. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Hot Toys has an official page on Facebook so I went straight over and told them if they like money, they need to redo the Marines :lol

Hot Toys - MMS 95 - Terminator Salvation - John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Oh those are so great... Makes me regret not jumping on Hicks and Reese when they were initially released... And makes me want a Hicks revamp and a street clothes Reese all the more :lol
  15. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Do I smell the beginnings of a mass petition to Hot Toys? :D Hear hear. The things that we do for our figures... Metal Gear is one of my top three properties in the world, with Star Wars being one of the other ones, and I've dropped a solid grand on a single 1/6th figure, the figure in...
  16. Killboy

Hot Toys - MMS 111 - John Connor (Final Battle Version)- spec + hi-res pics

Agreed I'd rather have a non Tech-Com Kyle Reese than either Arnie.
  17. Killboy

    Metal Gear Solid Collectibles

Yeah I hear you. I managed to get the Tiger Stripe and Zombie Snakes around their initial releases for reasonable prices but I can only sympathize with the people who paid premium prices only to see the rerelease... Having said that, I'd still like a Croc Cap myself... But speaking of premium...

Hot Toys - MMS 111 - John Connor (Final Battle Version)- spec + hi-res pics

Oddly enough I'd rather have the UMPC than the Hydrobot and the base...

Hot Toys - MMS 111 - John Connor (Final Battle Version)- spec + hi-res pics

I kinda got the same feeling, especially in those shots where he's holding the Hydrobot and aiming at the Terminator base. It looks like he's looking into the Hydrobot's eyes @_@ I'm fine with it as well and will pick it up regardless... But I wouldn't have minded if the second head had a...
