Re: Jkno's collection

I'm slowing down a bit since I'm waiting for the eFX TIE Fighter studio scale and eFX ANH Darth Vader helmet, and if everything goes well maybe for another big item.

My small Predator collection:

Thanks my friend :hi5: My Pred collection is not too big but I have all the items I'm interested in. For example I never cared for the HT Elder or the SS Maquette.

Re: Jkno's collection

I love them, Sergiu! :rock
... From what brand are the vehicles and spaceships in the foreground?
At what scale are they? Looks like 1:72 and 1:144 scales.

Thanks buddy. :) The ships you see there are the Action Fleet ships: Aliens Narcissus, Drop Ship and APC and the Predator Transport. These are quite rare at the moment, some going even for $200-$300, and they come with lots of details, cool minifigures and nice features (opening hatches, rotating turrets etc.). Too bad Galoob, the company who made Action Fleet and MicroMachines, was bought by Hasbro who canceled all these lines. Galoob had in plans more Star Wars, Aliens and Predator ships and playsets - see here some unproduced prototypes

Great display Jkno ;)

Thanks my friend! :duff

Re: Jkno's collection

Thank you so much for all these explanations and links you have given, Sergiu! :duff
Only disappointment: Hasbro's policy on stopping this range... :gah:

Indeed. Hasbro canceled the Action Fleet and MicroMachines lines to be sure there will be no competition for their beloved 3"3/4 figures alas. That is the reason some of the Star Wars, Aliens and Predator Action Fleet are so rare and expensive at present. And they are cool as toys and also as display pieces.

The funny thing is that the Master Replicas studio scale AT-AT is 99% in scale with the Action Fleet Snowspeeder and mini-figures, how cool is that:

Re: Jkno's collection

Yep! Yep! Yep! Realy great, Sergiu! :clap
Would you say that your Action Fleet and MicroMachines lines are at 1:72 scale?
... To know if that would fit with some model kits from FineMolds, hehe! :D

Re: Jkno's collection

Great AT-At Jkno ;)

Merci! :hi5:

:) The Action Fleet ships are not all in scale with each other. Some are but some aren't. For example the Action Fleet AT-AT is way smaller than it should be, since the Master Replicas AT-AT studio scale is 99% in scale with Action Fleet Snowspeeder and mini-figures. Re: Jkno's collection

Thank you again for these new links, Sergiu! :hi5:
I'm really surprised they have not sought to homogenize a bit more the range (eg 1:65, 1:66, 1:67, 1:69, 1:70, 1:71, 1:72 , 1:74, 1:76 ... And it doesn't stop! :panic:). :dunno

Glad to help Thierry. :duff The idea was that Galoob had license for ships/vehicles with the condition to not go over certain size and dimensions, thus not going into other licenses like Kenner/Hasbro ships etc.

Anyway if you are interested in some Action Fleet ships most can be obtained for excellent prices on ebay and even on some online stores. For example the MicroMachines Predator sets were sold on BigBadToyStore last year for good price. And even with high end collectibles these little ships are still cool to have and display. :wink1:
