I do like that Hot toys is doing this. And as I recall jazzinc did a fb poll few weeks back where this was pretty low on the list and even got comments that it looks silly and all that. Though now I read that they are interested? Still I’d go for the hot toys batmissile since I have the jazzinc 89 smoke machine on pre order 😄

Which leaves me wondering, since a few here mentioned the price is steep for a hot toy, agreed, but are also willing to pay double Joost would charge for this "if" released.

I’m ordering the hot toys version, it looks nice and I always enjoyed the goofiness of this scene. Plus it just looks like some weird almost steampunk vehicle. And I’m not too fussed about any realistic changing from Batmobile to this. It uses same movie logic as Nolan’s batpod turning wheels

I'm appreciating the paintwork they've done here that was totally absent on their Batmobile. The grime, weathering, etc won't be to everyone's liking but to me it makes the whole thing look more metallic and high-end. I think the Returns 2.0 figure is looking real sharp here, as well.

I’m waiting for the inevitable HT ‘89 Batmobile 3.0 that splits open to reveal the Batmissile!

:ROFLMAO: Kenner did it in 1992 but there were a lot of trade-offs! This was my one and only Batmobile as a kid.

I wish I had the nerve to cut up a HT Batmobile for the parts to attach to this new Batmissile.

There was a time, long ago, that I would have been carefree enough to gleefully tackle such a project. Surely someone here will be foolish enough to attempt it.

I will likely get one of these HT Batmissiles but I’m more interested in a Jazzinc version down the line.

I actually like the HT rendition better than that real prop. It maintains the Batmobile details with less random changes/adjustments. The front part of the missile pod, from the top of the body to the top part of the wheel as thick as the real Batmissile, where did that extra height come from on the real thing - makes it look like a submarine. Did the rims magically get smaller on the real Batmissile? How did the canopy air scoop get that tall given the shorter height of the Batmobile canopy scoop.

It's weird to me how much they decided to reshape that central portion. If you fling off the side pieces it already should be narrow enough to fit through the alley. But I guess they felt they needed more going on visually with more transforming parts.

Yeah, I don’t think I ever really realized that until later. As a kid I always just thought it lost the two side sections to go through the alley.

Didn’t realize the middle section further transformed. It’s kind of a cool idea but also makes no sense, but hey it’s a fictional comic book movie.

So sick they’re finally making the Batmissle, however, not accurate at all. The shock absorbers should be on the front and second to last on the rear. I saw the real one they used for the film down in Florida.
