Well I just picked mine up today, after opening it and inspecting it here at home in some good lighting, it is amazing.
The paint app on mine is excellent, its nice and shiny, has no runs, no streaks, no thinly sprayed areas, no smudges, nothing. The inside neck area that people seem to be screaming about is smooth, and painted, and to be honest if there was a paint problem in that area, I would'nt give a rats ass. Its an area that nobody can see unless they stick their head in it to purposely find flaws.
You could probably sit and scrutinize the Hope diamond and find flaws. No collectible is going to be absolutely perfect, no matter what its cost.
I am extremely impressed with this bust, I am glad I bought it, it will be the centerpiece of my collection and will be displayed with pride.
Sorry to those who have paint issues, but even like a new car you can get a bad one, I hope your issues are taken care of by Sideshow as I imagine they will be.

Thanks man, its quite hypnotizing to look at, its hard to take your eyes off. And the fresh smell of paint and other chemicals is nice to sit and sniff too. Reminds me of the good old days of sniffing glue under the underpass (oops, did I say that out loud?) lol ...j/k

I didnt get any pics tonight, my sister had my digital camera, but Ill snap a few tomorrow.
My brother inlaw owns a fabricating shop, so hes going to build me a stand for it out of steel, and we are going to rust it and make it look sorta like the I.M. base, then Im going to have him sitting beside my TV on that welded steel stand, it should look good. Might take a while to get it done, but I'll hound him till he finishes it.

My waitlist converted today so I really have my fingers crossed. I have yet to get a bad peice from SS and I'm hoping the streak will continue with this.

My waitlist converted yesterday. Despite the price tag, I'm very excited about it. I have to wait three months for I got the Flexpay option, but the only Life size bust I have is Terminator. I collect mainly Premium formats. I told my wife that if I got another Life Size bust it had to be SWS and Iron Man was the obvious choice....

First of all i don't approve the bad paintjob and the scratches. But when you look close at the "real deal", you can see that there are scratches on his chest and "spots" on his face. Now Sideshow did the same thing with the pristine endoskull. Remember the rainbow effect that some of us hated, the black spots ( shadow effect). What if sideshow did the same thing with this bust?

there is no rainbow effect at all.
That shot from the movie was CGI so dont compare it with the live action suit. The bust was taken from the live action suit wich has a darker shade of red. The CGI shots are saturated with bright and shinny effects.

i didn't say that IM bust has the rainbow effect. I was referring to the details.
