Here's hoping my new bust makes it to me in primo condition. If it weren't for that damn corner of the base, I would have had pretty much the perfect piece, save for the fact they didn't do a good job of getting into the tight areas.

Hey Solid, do you have any rough paint application between the neck and chest, trap armor plates?

when I got it it was a little dirty from sitting in the wearhouse but after a good clean he looks perfect.

the neck area looks perfect on mine.

I will have this eventually..... Just waiting for all the bugs to work themselves out And to possibly land one cheaper on the secondary market. I still cant justify spending $700 and risk getting a poor paint job

What I was originally pointing out if you go back and read my post before the one you quote is this:

You got offended when someone was joking about the paint apps from the factory, saying something about the Chinese. You then take offense to this because you say your Asian--Asian, not Chinese (I read you intro post on the board, I think your not if I remember).

You played the race card on a nationality thing, which was--i'm guessing, but I can't speak for Bodie--half joking. As for my post, it wasn't serious at all, as I don't really bring in flying squirrels or nuts into conversation or discussion I'm serious about. Next time I'll put one of these so you know.

As for uncalled statements in general, most of them are in jest, so don't be up in arms.

That's all I'm saying on the subject, as I don't want to derail the thread.

hew, i am quite aware of the fact that u cited nationality, not race. but for the china chinese, they are very much one and the same. so to make sweeping generalizations abt the chinese is offensive to both the nationality as well as the race. and there obviously are ethnic-chinese people residing outside of china. such as my little corner of the world.

now. back on topic. personally, i'm not impressed with the paint apps as well. if it was selling for like half the price, i might not be as disappointed tho. i'd just buy it and have it resprayed myself.

Wow I didnt realize Venom was that tall. I get my Venom in on Friday and I was counting on him being shorter than IM for display purposes

these are amde on an assmbly line - once the line has finished they don't go back and make more or fix up all the complaints u see here! I doubt u will get one cheaper later on - with iron man 2 on the horizon! My advice get one while u can.

bodie, i find ur comment abt the chinese a little offensive. yes, i am asian.

you rightly pointed out that this is a case of SIDESHOW'S very poor enforcement of QC standards. so why is the fault laid at the feet of the suppliers? they just rushed out a job because it's highly likely it was sideshow that was rushing to cope with demand. sideshow alone should stop the rot from ever leaving their warehouses. the fact that they are passing these defective products on to their loyal customers reeks of major corporate irresponsibility.

just like how a car manufacturer is responsible if it's cars have faulty brakes. don't just blame the vendor that supplied the brakes, though they certainly have a part to play in it. blame the car company for knowing full well what's going on and still choosing to sell the car as it is.
