I knew Yexal wasn't stupid enough to use a Red Spider-man bust for a custom. He has the facilities available to him to do castings.
I have no problem with it since he's not trying to replicate a product. That's why I commend him on a job well done.

Not passing judgment--I was very naively impressed by Yexel's collection--I want them to be real, I really do.

yeah, i also noticed alot of artists proofs showing up from that region also.
unfortunately, it doesn't help a great deal to ban these people, all they have to do is reregister under another name. at least this way we have some chance of keeping tabs on them.
but of course they are reading the same posts that we are writing on. so in the end,confused: we can't win) i don't know what we as a community can do about this practice (recasting).
it's really up to the big companies, such as sideshow, marvel etc. to do something about this, though even with their deep pockets, there's not much they can do about these people.
at least not until these other governments start cracking down on all types of knock offs, (not just statues) and i don't think that will happen quickly because most of the govenment officials in these regions are as crooked as the people doing the deeds in the first place.

Banning helps because then eventually they run out of places to show off their items. It's against most boards rules to reopen an account after being banned.
Also it's up to the public first not to buy recasts to nail the recaster's supply by cutting off the demand.
IMHO if the dude is thinking about recasting a SM 1:1 bust to customize into an ISM custom... ban the fool. If he is taking original SS 1:1 busts and customizing then it's all good.
